Did Bjork ever create something new by herself, or was she ever a trendchaser? Her older work was influenced by Trip Hop, and her new work by artists like Arca(which really aren't that groundbreaking). I like her art. but nothing she's done is new.

Bjork was one of the first real life waifus. I know what you are going to say "thats not what a waifu is"
But for her case ot fits because she was the first real life anime character.

Bjork is a product of her time just like every goddamn artist is. She didn’t create anything new in terms of starting a genre, however she succeeded tremendously in creating music that was hers only — I guess you could call it unique. She was inspired by multiple genres (Trip Hop and IDM, for example) but she was absolutely great at taking it all in and putting out something that was far removed from everything else, which is why you hardly see Björk being compared to other Trip Hop acts from that time.
