Pretty much look at anything industrial that came out between '78 and '81. After that it started evolving.

That said, it seems like the purists are cool with death industrial

Here's something really early and not at all pure, but really cool:

If you're going for closeness to the original industrial releases, then the EN releases before that are more relevant than Halber Mensch
True, tbqh Kollaps and Kalte Sterne have always been my favorite EN albums by far
>no Coil
this one put industrial on the map
in america anyway
extremely overlooked 90s industrial
one of the best industrial metal albums ive heard imo.

Only two of these are pure industrial albums
Shut the fuck up
>source: my ass
so 'industrial' is spooky dance music?
throbbing gristle and EN are the only artists on their that are straight up industrial like op asked for. the other albums are industrial influenced but combined with other genres. Are you seriously saying that Kanye West and Marilyn Manson are pure industrial? lmao
mu doesnt listen to industrial, its way to abrasive and repetitive for pseudo kids. NIN and deathgrips are not industrial you plebs
i think that's half the problem, the other half is that when anything industrial released after 1980 gets posted it gets shit on by the "patricians" for being bad, but they never post anything they think is good beyond the same tired shit
I'm trying to get into the genre honestly, if you have some recommendations I would very much appreciate it
>he dont know about Cabaret Voltaire
coil is post-industrial
This flowchart will help you my man
I’d like to see you dance to that you pretentious little scrotal sac.
I'm gonna be a nitpicky here and say that Coil's Time Machines is actually closer to drone than it is ambient...
And the inclusion of Dulce Liquido is nice, but where's Hocico?
Check this album out for gritty oldschool EBM.
>Industrial chart without Einstürzende Neubauten and Die Krupps
I do know about cabaret Voltaire but Micro-phonies is synth pop/ebm. Only their early stuff is pure industrial
Industrial is one of my favorite genres really. But their are so many sub genres under the Industrial umbrella it get’s pretty confusing and a lot of it doesn’t sound very similar. Psychic TV’s Dreams Less Sweet or Monte Cazzazza doesn’t sound a lot like Front by Front or ESA’s The Sea & The Silence. And then everyone gets to arguing with the purists taking on the rivetheads.
It’s fucking annoying and ruins the discussion here. It’s been like that here for years too. Once in a blue moon you’ll get a decent thread.
See pricks like this
*long suifering sigh
So EBM is not a sub genre of Industrial according to your infinite knowledge and wisdom?
No wonder industrial died out.
The op literally asked for “pure” industrial and you’re fitting butthurt that people are discussing what counts as pure? I agree with but this thread was doomed from the start
>fitting instead of fucking
fucking phoneposters
Well OP is a faggot, this is now an industrial general thread
Awwwwwww. He’s a whittle butthoit

Tell me they’re not pure industrial cuntboy
Thanks boss
Good Rhythmic Noise (y’know another sub genre of Industrial) project from UK producer Jaime Blacker
Seems like no one here knows what the fuck pure industrial means so here's some albums:
Throbbing Gristle - The Second Annual Report
Throbbing Gristle - D.o.A: The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle
Whitehouse - Total Sex
SPK - Leichenschrei
Cabaret Voltaire - Mix-Up
Coil - Horse Rotorvator
Nurse With Wound - Homotopy to Marie
Nurse With Wound - Spiral Insana
Zoviet France - Shouting at the Ground
Current 93 - Nature Unveiled
Factrix - Scheintot
Techno Animal - Ghosts
Terrorfakt
Abrasive extremely repetitive Poer Noise / Rhythmic Noise. It’s wonderful.
based user, i'll be listening through. i'm a pleb, so i almost certianly have anything you haven't heard yet, instead, here is my freshest garbage: youtube.com
>Whitehouse
>pure industrial
oh nonono

nine inch nails, Faust, and honestly, king crimson is proto-industrial at any times
You’re so far up your own ass it’s not even funny. It must be very dark and moist where you live. And thanks for posting that sad tired old list that everyone has heard and seen before.
Severed Heads
youtu.be
Australian act who eventually went on to make Synthpop and EDM oriented music. Tom Ellard is still active today.
severedheads.bandcamp.com
Great stuff here.
Ok, since you seem to clearly know more than me, wanna explain how music like this from 1980 isn't Industrial?
youtube.com
>And thanks for posting that sad tired old list that everyone has heard and seen before.
I didn't post it for you faggot, OP asked for albums and I gave them some, so fuck outta here.
I debated posting Severed Heads but they're kinda ass in comparison to the rest so I left them off.
nobody cares about my recs :(
Awwwww. Poor whittle butthoit.
Some Oldschool Instrumental EBM From Boston MA
Manufacture

no, if i'm going to larp a purist asshole i have to leave the thread as soon as anyone asks me to explain myself
For the purist moist cunt biscuit
Some CTI aka Chris & Casey
Not big into their stuff but this live CTI album is pretty darn good
>purist asshole, gatekeeping!!
OP asked for pure Industrial, no need to get pissy with me for giving them what they asked for.
Cabraret Voltaire’s best is Drunking Gasoline but it’s probably not pure industrial
And my favorite Front 242 track just for good measure
Circling Overland
youtu.be
I’ll let pureboy go about his histrionic seizure and fill y’all in on the nuances of pure industrial.
the first track is better than I remembered, guess I should revisit them and possibly eat my words
Nice to see some Clock DVA posted here
me?
i'll dance to anything.
>to anything
it is supposed to be not pure industrial
for me, it's Three Mantras
I have that cd in a box somewhere . . .
I'm listening to them user, bretty good so far
>Industrial music
Throbbing Gristle pretty much invented it. I recommend on pic related 'convincing people' and 'what a day', both very industrial.
thanks guys
