John Cage's 4'33" is the near-perfect execution of a concept that is both extremely simple in idea and extremely powerful in impact. The only thing which could potentially detract from the execution is the necessity to be someplace specific to experience it ( and even then, that could be considered a strength) It is one of the purest, most sincere and unpretentious expressions of optimism in music; simply because it encourages the listener to find beauty in the world around them the way it is, without having to intentionally manipulate it to produce what we traditionally see as beautiful music.
