>he hasn't heard one of the biggest rock records of all time
Did you discover music exists yesterday?

Radiohead is shite don't waste your time

For all intents and purposes, yes it's pretty good. But like most people on this board, you'll see OK Computer be brought up so frequently that you'll eventually learn to hate it and instead consider something like The Bends as the best Radiohead album.

kid a is their best

kid a is decent but overall radiohead is the most overrated band in here

If you let the opinion of a Japanese macrame board convince you that a middling buttrock record like The Bends is better than OK Computer, you probably shouldn't be exposed to the internet.

yes it's good. 100% worth a listen. if you're coming to this from more experimental music you may be disappointed.

this
what a fucking spineless pussy

It's not just you neckbeards, it's literally every radiohead fan. On rym they're treated like their music is the best thing that's ever happened. They are a garbage band but obviously you're butthurt over differing opinions.

>literally argues a point that no one was making
>calls other people butthurt

It's a good album that was released when other albums were completely shit.

Am I a pleb if I think this album is around a 6.5? I get the "significance" and whatnot, but it's nowhere near an enjoyable listen to me for the most part. Outside of obvious bait, I've never seen anyone give this album less than an 8/10 or similar in writing.

>Am I a pleb
No, but you're also not special and nobody cares.

just listen to linkin park instead.

Nice mental gymnastics

>how come other people like this music so much? i just can't stand it. don't like this music too much guys, or else it will upset me!!!

yeah it's a classic, people hate radiohead because they have a shitty fanbase but fuck it, just listen to it

oof, you got him good there!!!!!

Look at all those exclamation marks, are you a boomer by any chance?

More like not so ok computer lmao

It's a fucking great album. Don't let Yea Forums incels make you think otherwise.

unless youre a boomer you wont enjoy this.

I mean, if you aren't memeing, then yeah listen to it.

There is a reason it is so acclaimed.

Its low tier radiohead

Half the world believes in bullshit superstition but that doesn't make it right

Youre gonna regret not being superstitious when Satans rawdogging your ass like its a warm apple pie

>is it good?
Yes.
>why is it good?
Extremely well-developed sections; great use of modality as well as of modulation; experimentation with form and structure; album is a straightforward show of hands from Radiohead that highlight their notable abilities of intricate pop songwriting. It's that what makes them special - how well-structured and developed the compositions are. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Satan fucking Jay Leno up the ass while he promotes the new Doritos flavor

if they haven't listened to OK Computer yet they're probably not coming at it from experimental music...

all of those

>buzzwords

>im retarded and cant read english

Just try it nigger, if you can afford to waste a few tens of minutes of your time on it then you might as well do it and decide for yourself if you like it or not, these fags will just insist that it's either great or awful and you'll leave more confused than nefore

>using the word "modality" outside of jazz music
Get the fuck off my lawn

You said nothing, kid. You must be a Fantano fanboi too, judging by the coloquial and ambiguous terms you use to describe music.

Im not the user who posted that silly goose

Nah, for a pop band Radiohead's music is unusually thoroughly developed. For a pop band, that is. Karma Police is constructed out of two long sections, for example.

>implying modality isn't a major part of classical music up to the development of tonality (and after the break with tonality it becomes a major part as well), as well as being present in Greek and English folk music
>implying that it can't exist in pop music
iShiggyDiggy

Did Scaruffi write this

pretty good on its own, give it a listen then listen to in rainbows, then google the playlist that combines both, I did this the other day and they actually sounded pretty good together.

100% accuracy

i miss the bends memes

idk man
somewhere in the 90s it became a rule that popular bands had to be faggy and make faggy music
