Pretty rudimentary trap beat in an ocean of trap beats on soundcloud.com & it wouldn't be SoundCloud-rap(ish) without a reminiscence of pop culture references i.e. sampling patrick star. It's compositionally uneventful which is to be expected from most trap beats. Dug the drums. Percussion was spacey. Rhythm was syncopated. Doesn't leave much of an lasting impression overall.

6.9/10 for what you're trying to do.
4.2/10 personally.

i would maybe try running some of these sounds through tape distortion or sauration, stuff to make it lo fi could add a bit more vibe and texture. a little too medieval and cheesey for me right now. could be good for some video game background shit or something.

im a pretty big fan of the dissonant half tone shit. kick is the only real source of low end idk if that is what you are going for. if this had a reese or 808 underneath it, man this track would go on a big sound system. all around this is one of the cooler things i have heard on this board.

I actually had that in mind. Having a sense of sinking beneath the surface as it envelops into incomprehensibility. Sound design must be worked on more. Only had MIDI + a few fx then rendered it incomplete. I only spent 10 minutes tweaking the mood of the thing. Glad to see someone giving personal opinion on each other's stuff.
