Post your favorite shoegazers and dream poppers. Noise pop and slow core welcome too. Bumping with some albums that I think are underrated albums of the 90s not discussed a lot and not on any Yea Forums chart.

I think Red Light is slightly better but it's good
Amazing Japanese shoegaze metal album, all over the place on styles with this album.
Heard this recently and loved it. Recommending it to /mu
Why did no one tell me that A: Film School had a new album out last year, and B: that it's fucking great?

someone already posted Blind Mr. Jones :) So I'll contribute with Swallow.
The only shoegaze I've liked so far is mass of fermenting drugs any recs
malory - the third face
otom - you lost me
Curve is too good for Yea Forums.
drop nineteens mayfield demo is unreal
Hum, Juno, Weed
Kinoko Teikoku
Lillies Dying is probably my fav song rn

these guys are really good, they have a single and an EP out right now
I was hoping somebody would post silver by star flyer 59
I'll look up some old threads and copy the format a bit. I'm definitely down to try to get it back up
Damn. I hadn’t heard that particular track in forever. Gave me shivers. Based taste.
What these guys said. Here are some other good Japanese Shoegaze bands:
broken little sister
Burrrn
Coaltars of the Deep
Cruyff in the Bedroom
Hartfield
Bumped this a lot last year, it's really good. Get the illustrations booklet if you can, it's a neat little story.
why won't curve go on streaming ahhhhhhh
Yeah I love the art work. It's very comfy.

nice choice
Better than Red Light honestly, they're different albums.
checking this out
I feel my virginity regenerating, fuck you user
Agreed. Not all their albums are there. But they do have a bandcamp and all their music is there.
Reminder that is Dean Garcia (of Curve) and his daughter Rose Berlin on vox.
Bumping with:
Rain - Petrichor

Band I don’t understand why we don’t talk about more here; Wye Oak
Solid Discography with Civilian & Tween being great. Not all Shoegaze though, Shriek was a lot more Synth orientated. Jenn Wasner is a great guitarist and Andy Stack is an amazing multi instrumentalist playing Drums and Keys simultaneously.
this is really based, anybody got a download?
There's also this. /shugazi/ was all about it a couple years back.
i really don’t get how people listen to shoegaze beyond slowdive and mbv, everything else has just been a shit copy
the logical progression is to listen to filosofem after loveless
That's not true
I can’t think of a more plebeian opinion. Unless of course you haven’t listened to shit in the genre which is much more likely.
sorry this dropped out of your pocket
you
fucking
TOURIST
This is why the tourist meme gained traction, due to ignorant plebs disregarding an entire genre without barely scratching the surface.
My top shoegaze albums goes like this:
Verve - A Storm in Heaven
My Vitriol - Finelines
Medicine - Shot Forth Self Living
A Place to Bury Strangers - Exploding Head
Sweet Trip - Velocity : Design : Comfort
The Novembers - Rhapsody in Beauty,
Exit Calm - Exit Calm
Coaltar of the Deepers - No Thank You
Catherine Wheel - Ferment
Colfax Abbey - Drop
Narrow Head - Satisfaction
Kairon; IRSE! - Ujubasajuba
Hundredth - RARE
One of those genres where I'm a bit of contrarian - don't like MBV, Slowdive and Ride that much.
2.0
good catch thanks man
>t. genre tourist
Fuck off
Fucking kek'd user
While Summer In My Veins is "louder" than Grandeur of Hair it's also much more beautiful and melodic (except My First Kiss Was In The Rain which is absolute dogshit and shouldn't be on this album)
>yukari telepath
>dark
???

Very good list, have you listened to any Southpacific?
Their last album was one of my favorites from 2018. Ridiculously underrated band in general.
Anyone got any more recs for doomgaze?
based, btw what do you think about Catherine Wheel's second album?
Not him, but I think it's terrific. The metallic guitar tones really make the album's name justice. Probably their best tbqh, the variety give it an edge over Ferment.
has The Novembers - Angels come out yet? An user rec'd it to me but discogs says no
I'm blind and can't read what it says above "Death Spells"

this is pretty much /shugazi/ essential
i hope you guys checked out the new westkust
Holy Fawn. I also enjoyed this album

Beautiful lads. I think Love Spirals Downwards is underrated. I rec if you enjoy Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Beach House or Cranes.
Alcest
Amensoeurs
Lantlos
Les Discrets
Deafhaven
Fen
Those are all pretty good, check them out man

I know this question probably gets asked all of the time, but can someone post artists that have a similar sound to Broadcast?
Looking for stuff that sounds like their earlier releases. 60's spy movie, library music shit
