I’ve bought stuff out of Europe cheaply enough, is it really that bad going in?

not him but, in Italy for example you have to pay usually high shipping prices + 22% tax, and that would be it if you paid the tax to the seller, but since nobody ever gives that option, when you receive the mail they make you pay the 22% tax + a penalty for not paying the tax right away (about 15€ usually)
so yea its fucking trash unless the package sneaks past the checks and you get it with no tax/penalty
