Why is he popular among zoomers?

Grunge is so far removed from any current music trend stylistically.

Because he is fucking based

Because he was constantly told to kill himself by the voices in his head, and zoomers are constantly told to kill themselves by everyone else.

Because he's still young, and suicide is highly romanticized by western youth.

montage of heck making him into something he was not

Because he killed himself, he achieved the dream of zoomers everywhere.

>still young
He'd be 52

You remain the age you are when you die.

I love In Bloom. Flipper was a good band.

Explain Paul McCartney, then.

Show me one picture or recording of Kurt Cobain over the age of 28
Oh wait, you can't.

He's not dead.

honestly I think Nirvana has always remained popular among teenagers is because there is nothing more angsty

I could it's just that unauthorized gravedigging is illegal.

Rappers really like to rhyme "Cobain" with "Brain", "Pain" etc., goes back a log time really, but now we've got a post-ironic appropriation of emo culture.

I'll take a different angle and say "why was Morrison, Hendrix, etc" popular among Xers and older Millennials?" Parents of zoomers likely introduced Nirvana to their kids in a similar way.

name 10 rap songs that do this

Because he was a junkie piece of shit who killed himself.

Rock music was highly popular during the gen-x and millennial eras, so the music fit their generation. It was extremely common to see hard rock elements in pop and even rap back then. These days the whole sound of rock music seems dated and abrasive compared to the current music trends. Grunge doesn't fit at all with any popular music today.

Based on this pic, are you Gen X, Millennial, or Zoomer?

They crave authenticity but most don't know where to look for it beyond vague cultural signifiers like Kurt
