Was there any EDM in the 1960s?
serious question tbqh
I mean I'd play tunes from the label in a set sped up or slowed down a fair amount to make it less generic-sounding. Every tune sounds the same though lol

How do you guys feel about Prince Of Denmark/Traumprinz/Dj Metatron/Dj Healer/Prime Minister Of Doom?
I can't get into the guy no matter how many times I try out another release from him. It's weird because I actually like sparse sounding minimal techno stuff like BC, Gas, Voices From The Lake, Deepchord Presents Echospace.
I think he's fucking great, was listening to 3 or 4 of his albums on repeat last summer before I learned it was all the same guy...
Also DJing a party tomorrow, rec some songs that will make normies think I'm cool :^)
based.
Good morning

>www43.zippyshare.com

ok make sure u dont let it get this far tho lmaoooo
who are producers who bridge the gap between ladhouse and whatever space toolroom, richie hawtin + friends, and similar people and the underground?
wanna do some research on that kind of thing and what type of production draws people and why
It's good but it's from the time Noisia started to become irreversibly shit. A couple of years before that they had started making terrible House music for some reason but still made great D&B, after Split The Atom they haven't made a single worthwhile thing.
If this wasn't on Split The Atom it wouldn't have even been worth listening to.
youtube.com
>Ken Ishii Jelly Tones
It unfortunately isn't the album/ cover I was looking for but I'm going to check it out when I get home. thanks for the suggestion user
Dunno if i need a goth gf but i wanna lovingly kiss a goth girl. Esketit
Any man got a link for Drae Da Skimask - Gucci Vai Pare Baile? The two on slsk are locked
>after Split The Atom they haven't made a single worthwhile thing
Lol cmon ninj theres gotta be at least ONE tune right
Dance music = body rhythms
128bpm = healthy heart rate for exercise
Drugs affect body rhythms
Not too complicated desu
Or just Pistola
ffs am I going to have to actually pay for this
Dax J? Bicep?
cool
Paying for music is based and redpilled :)
Why do British accents make everything funnier lol. So serious
Because southerners are pathetic
lol tru
NorCal > SoCal
go-to travel albums/comps/mixes?

Margins Music Redux forever GOAT
Maybe this but even then.
youtube.com
I can't believe the state of D&B has come to a point where I don't like NOisia and Black Sun Empire anymore. At least Homemade Weapons should hopefully release AOTY this year.
Oof yes classic
desu are there any grime acts that compete with dusk+blackdown?
autechre level imo
Ok but for real how can a group of 3 producers go so far downhill? What happened
bruv dnb has been going downhill for over two decades
Honestly I love Keysound so much and Dusk and Blackdown never get the credit they deserve. Their rinse show is still always amazing and they have such a massive love and support of underground UK dance music. I saw them once in my city with Logos and Sully and there were literally 30 people there despite that it was one of the best nights I've ever been to.
That's because all the interesting producers are making old school jungle or footwork
these guys made a pretty sudden shift in comparison tho idk. did they lose self-awareness or start making festival shite for $$$
>'95 amon tobin
thanks. inspirational genius
Skrillex Come To Brazil
u scared baby?

Started listening to electronic music for really the first time in my life
I'm really enjoying techno and hardcore/gabber from the 90s
Particularly Plastikman for techno and then Ophidian (not 90s technically but closer than now) and Nasenbluten for hardcore/gabber
What other artists might I like in these veins of EDM?
Preferably artists with albums because I know single and mixes are bigger in EDM and such but I'm coming from a metal background so i'm really set in and used to albums
Subtronics
no
the place (LA) is just stinky and needs way more help than bossman can provide lol
>Subtronics
Assuming you meant the german guy and not the riddim dude then this shit is pretty dope thanks
>bleep thread
>half the posts are hip hop and pop
lurk more
maybe I've been away for too long, if anything.
/bleep/ has turned from a load of noncey Americans posting white labels and pretending they're British into some weird collective of shitposting depressives.
Shame because before I found out of a few decent events from other actual Brit lads.
Eletronic DANCE music? I can't think of any. Some good electronic acts of the 60s include
Silver Apples, youtube.com
United States of America: youtube.com
And White Noise: youtube.com
A member of which was Delia Derbyshire, who helped with teh Dr. Who theme: youtube.com
Nothing I'd say is really dancy though.
same. I got into bleeps kinda late in life, so it was helpful coming here and finding a lot of good stuff. When did the change happen? I used to browse here fairly frequently in 2012-2013, then came back for a bit in 2015... RIP
>turned
lmfao s/t was doing this ages ago

>Dax J?
didn't think of him
>Bicep?
yeah maybe
what about detroit swindle? dixon? joris voorn? solomun?
some good stuff there and a lot of forgettable safe house
>ladhouse
what?
The kind of House you'd hear on a side stage at Creamfields or in a somewhat alternative British club that doesn't play chart music
Eats Everything, Noir, Jamie Jones, Darius Syrossian, Huxley, Eelke Kleijn, Dusky, the list goes on...
is she still your waifu?
I meant the riddim guy
post good y2k or early 2000s bleep
laurel halo is my queen
Sweetie
think im gonna send my demos out to Cocaine Music Group first. Any other well-paying mainstream labels?
Hmmm ok this is sick
>Eats Everything
lmfao i will never forget zomby's tweet
Boys...
Sheck Wes is my favorite rapper
Swrious thoughts lads, no memes. We're at the end of the decade now... so much has happened since 2010, tearout dubstep/brostep, post-dubstep, "EDM", UKG and deep house revival, rise of streaming and algorithms making music more accessible but changing consumption patterns, weightless grime, footwork, lo-fi + meme house, grime goes trap, hardcore continuum dying out, tech house + minimal 4x4 stuff gets bigger, focus on afrobeats and other world genres
What's next on the horizon and/or happening now but hasn't quite blown up yet?
Memerap
