How come so many smart people like Bob Dylan, but I think he sucks ?
How come so many smart people like Bob Dylan, but I think he sucks ?
guess you just aren't smart, bucko
Because it takes some brain to understand poetry.
here, that should explain it, OP
Damn .... that makes a lot of sense ,,
Because Leonard Cohen is better.
yup..
imagine calling yourself a retard in the start of your own thread
Virtue should be valued more by men nowadays, than mere big talk
Because he's kinda hard to get into, what have you been listening? Then again if you think he literally sucks no point in trying, in that case you are indeed stoopid
based
Becau he's a pretentious kike
Nobody actually likes that shit, they just say they do because they think it makes them sound smarter
personally i love his songwriting, i just cant into his voice.
This. That's why I like Joanna Newsom better. She's more musically talented as well.
cope harder
>bobbe doyland
>poetry
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Bob Dylan sucks. And changed his name to hide that he's a Joo.
Retarded post, but what is a good starting point for someone who doesn't listen to Dylan but wants to?
Highway 61 Revisited, Times they are-a changin’, Blonde on Blonde.

Blood on the Tracks
Most people who don't like Dylan say that it's "his only good album." It's the most overrated of his great stuff, but it's still great.
Because you’re smartER
Blood on the tracks is what converted me
How many Nobel prizes have you won ?
I created that thread, kek.
i picked up Lost on the River by the New Basement Tapes.
Its Elvis Costello, Jim James, Marcus Mumford, Rhiannon Giddens, and Taylor Goldsmith. Apparently Dylan found a box of lyrics that he wrote in the 60's and gave them to T Bone Burnett. Burnett put together the band, and each of them put music to the lyrics.
Its fuckin amazing, I highly recommend it.
BLONDE ON BLONDE.
Not for novices.
His singing mostly sucked in his really early period. His chords are repetitive and limited.
His mastery, however, is storytelling and poetry through his top-tier lyrics. Some of his albums are truly based, even for non-Dylan heads, like Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61, Blonde on Blonde, John Wesley Harding, Nashville Skyline, Blood on the Tracks, and Desire

BASED FPBP
I walked Bob Dylan onstage in 1975, what have you ever done !
Leonard > Bob
Bob Dylan gets an instant critical pass because he's Jewish.
jewish guy playing folk = it's not smelly hippie redneck music, it's ART.
>and then Mona Lisa
>met the king of France
>and said "where did you put my pants
>and then Joan of Arc
>was sad because her dog couldn't bark
genius... simply genius storytelling...
