ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name" - Google the same as above but with site:zippyshare.com and such instead of blogspot
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega|zippyshare|mediafire" - Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found.
Here's one of my favorites from this year that kinda came out of nowhere.
Elizabeth Colour Wheel - Nocebo (2019) [320] >Heavy Shoegazy Noise Rock with female vocals. Released on The Flenser which has put out HANL, Planning for Burial, and Kayo Dot among others mega.nz/#!c4khFYTK!A-iTh_w6jNUmAKeGbVX4iR9h0soOU5n9lhYTpbj3lZk
Catchy songs from a East LA band. Very danceable music. Some Spanish sections some psychedelic sections. Shit there's even a super mario bros song. Catch these guys live if you can it's a blast
Does anyone have a rip of this? It's John Mars & Stuart Broomer - Annihilated Surprise (1984). I legit cannot find a rip of this anywhere. I have it on vinyl but no way to rip it at the moment.
Here's another share.
Aastrya - Aastral Projections > Cinematic Cosmic Black Metal

reposting one of mine that was at the bottom of the last one just before it died.
Twinsistermoon - When stars Glide Through Solid (2007) (2011 reissue) >Really great Psychedelic/Drone infused folk From one half of Natural Snow Buildings, and this album is like if you took some of the best folk segments from NSB albums and cut out all the drone parts in between.
Please, do it's amazing. Bit cheesy amount of establishing how much the main group of friends are in heterosexual love with each other in the first 20 mins or so but then it gets real John Woo real fast when they go to Vietnam and it's amazing from then on. Would have trouble deciding if I like Hard Boiled more or equally and I LOVE Hard Boiled.
Anyway, gonna pimp an album I probably have pimped too much but it's been at least a month since I did, so in case anyone ITT hasn't seen it yet:
M.O.T.O. - Bolt! (1986) >Power-Punk (probably not a real genre but it's between punk and power pop), Lo-Fi, overflowing with earworms, made by the bandleader all on his own but I think it credits his bandmates anyway. should be an actual classic, either all over or at least in online music communities -- personal all-time top 20
>Wanting to risk anyone being deprived of that album. Feel thankful you even know it exists. Some people will never even see that album cover and I feel terrible for them.
Zachary White
based, thanks for the recs. I fuck with month of sundays

X (Australian band) - Aspirations (1979) >Straight punk, one of my favorites in the genre

Oh shit, I remember hearing I Dont Wanna Go Out on the radio a few months ago and the lyrics became an inside joke with some of my friends Might as well check out the whole album, thanks m8

Subdivision - Files in the Attic (1997) >Backpacker hip hop, lyricism, alternative
Hey can someone who is tech-savvy rip this? I can't find it anywhere else and everytime I try to get it deezloader only gets the first 2 minutes of each track. Dunno what I'm doing wrong.

Neila & Acid Reign - Missing Link (1999) >backpacker, lo-fi, experimental hip hop
If you know what LA2TheBay is you should be familiar with both of these artists. Acid Reign is a rap group consisting of BeOND, Gajah, Olmeca and Neila is an abstract female-emcee. For the uninitiated I guess I could compare her to Aesop Rock a bit. Early Aesop anyways. This is real lo-fi hip hop. This has a lot of darker tracks. See the sample it has this dissonant beat.
I forgot to mention that it also has some "proto-lo-fi anime beats" or whatever it calls. Also has a track when they're just rapping over an ambient song. The guys on this are roughly 19-20 years old when they dropped this.
Neila - Starting Early (2000) > backpacker, lo-fi hip hop, la2thebay
Extremely lo-fi and raw stuff. It's so lo-fi that I would compare it to Peaches the Memphis rapper and her debut. Recorded in Hawaii in some dudes garage.
This is a great album. I think that the P4k review that someone wrote for it has to be the most incorrect and retarded post I have seen on that website- whoever the fuck the writer was likened it to fucking Sung Tongs and Campfire SOngs by AnCo which is so off-base that I cannot believe someone who reviews music for a living made that comparison. Fucking bullshit-ass P4k niggas talking shit on my man, Phosphorescent.
Кpacнaя Плeceнь – Beчный Кaйф (2000) >Ukraine parody/punk, dance electro, Wikipedia and Discogs both say this bands known for "profane and racist language".
Mandy More - But That Is Me (1972) >British Folk with a psychedelic and soul edge Massively underrated album, reccing people give it a shot very strongly.
Transmission Impossible - Tom Waits (2015) >unofficial release of three Jazz/blues era Tom Waits, between '75 and '77, plus 2 songs from an 80's concert for some reason.
>Dunno what I'm doing wrong. You're doing nothing wrong, this album seem like to be fucked up in the deezer, basically you're downloading the fallback.
Chase Cooper
Various Artists - Area 847 (1998) >emo, hardcore punk, normal punk, experimental hip-hop. A bunch of bands from the upper Chicago area, released as a tribute to Phil Bonnet, who produced most of the localbands in chicago that Steve Albini didn't.
Earth Dies Burning - Songs From The Valley Of The Bored Teenager (1981-1984) >punk, post-punk, a bunch of teens/preteens recording punk music, used to open for big punk bands in california
Harry Belafonte - Belafonte At Carnagie Hall: The Complete Concert (1959) >traditional american / Caribbean folk music. A good amount of comedy songs, i don't know if most of the good stage banter is in this version.
The Petrojvic Blasting Company - Over The Garden Wall Soundtrack (2016) >americana folk, sometimes sounds like instrumental tom waits, peak autumn vibes
Los Prisioneros - La cultura de la basura (1987) [320] >punk rock, new wave, Chilean rock, kids making politically charged music during the Pinochet regime, had their music banned for a time
>>disappointing pre-order-core This. You wouldn’t happen to have Invocations Of Almost would you?
Evan Howard
No. I did manage to snag the colored reissue of tpm though with the baby tibet

Dust Hag & Wo Worbiso - Space Sleep (2019) >Analog industrial, noise, spoken word
>The Hat - Less of a Lover (2007) (FLAC) >The Hat - Open Hearts (2007) (FLAC) >>Experimental little band from Brighton. Spoken word, narrative, jazz, hip hop, ballad. Varies by song. >Unfortunately these 2 singles with 2 songs each are all that I've ever managed to find as proper recordings.
