They sounded dated and disposable even when they first came out. And their look seemed dated and disposable too, like they were just throwing together a bunch of almost-dead fashions at the last minute, rather than leading in anything.
I remember someone recalling last year being at a restaurant in LA and seeing one of these guys eating at a table with his girlfriend. The restaurant suddenly started playing Party Rockers and he looked noticeably bummed out. His gf asked if he wanted to leave and he sighed and said no whatever.
