I Should Have Known Better

I’ll Be Back

Daily reminder that The Beatles were just a glorified boy band whose fanbase mostly consisted of teenage girls. Most guys were listening to TVU, The Rolling Stones or The Beach Boys during that era.

wow you completely changed my view of the beatles. thank you

Nigga all these bands were influenced by the Beatles.

>Most guys were listening to TVU
No. No one listened to TVU except for record store owners, and even then that wasn't for a while. No one ever gave a shit about that band until people started name dropping the shit out of them around the time punk got big.

>Most guys were listening to [second-tier Beatles ripoff] during that era
Huh?

If I Fell

Good choice.

Great pick. Their greatest harmony.

No offense, but you know nothing of which you speak. When the Beatles hit America, EVERY artist worth his or her salt saw that they were miles ahead of everyone. Brian Wilson knew it right away. Bob Dylan totally got them right from the start. I think Elvis was the only act who didn't fawn over them. When we see their TV appearances or hear their live shows, you are struck with the intensity of the response from teenage girls. This is because teenage girls -- especially in the 60s -- were always LOUD. Girls scream. Boys don't. So, you're gonna hear the girls. Lastly, your statement saying that The Beatles were, "Just a glorified boy band whose fanbase mostly consisted of teenage girls" strongly smacks of sexism. The only conclusion to be drawn is that you believe females have shitty taste in music. Even assuming that that's true, is it possible that The Beatles were one act where the screaming girls got it right? Girls screamed for The Kinks, The Stones, and The Who as well. Look at their mid sixties clips on YouTube. Maybe even stupid-ass girls are right every once in awhile.

Based

The dead Beatles, did the photo curse them, is the child dead also ?

It's okay that you enjoy feminine music, but it's insulting to say that they've in anyway influenced music more than somebody like Chuck Berry, Eddie Van Halen, Elvis, David Bowie, TVU, Michael Jackson or even The Rolling Stones.

dude that's Julian Lennon

SO HOOOOOOOW COULD I DAAAAAANCE WITH ANOOOOOOTHER
OOOOOOOOOOOOOH

RIP

>Most guys were listening to TVU

Help

>What is your favorite early Beatles song
I'm not a huge fan but i really like "What Goes On" and "the Ballad of John and Yoko." I like their twangy shit.

>3 Legs & Dear Boy were percieved as digs
because lennon was an insecure pussy who thought everything was about him. the only lines on ram that were about lennon were on too many people.

No bullshit. Whatever song most accurately describes my current love life.

Been obsessed with this song as of late. Not even my favourite George song, let alone Beatles song, but something about it just hits the spot
