I will admit, this is one of those albums I skipped when I first got into Black Metal. I listened to Freezing Moon, and thought it was great with Dead on vocals. But I was such a pussy back then, I couldn't get past how raw the recording is. Now after listening to stuff like Vlad Tepes, Paysage d'Hiver, Satanic Warmaster, Fimbulwinter. I broke through my pleb stage. RAW is how Black Metal is how it should be.

Motley Crue movie revitalized a little interest in it I think. I only ever listen to Batallions Of Fear. The rest of their discography does not really do anything for me. Its the same with Helloween and Walls Of Jericho. Both bands kinda lose their pace after these.

Even Follow the Blind? That's weird, since it's basically the tighter version of their first album. I'm also big on Tales since I think it's a great mixture of speed and power, but everything else doesn't quite do it for me which is weird since I love first five Rhapsody albums.

I wont be shitting on Rhapsody today, but i dont know what it is. Somehow the albums are too tame. I suspect that, when f.e Helloween started out they were kind of doing their own thing and just playing what felt right. After their debuts hit the scene, they were too much influenced by people telling them how to play stuff to be sucessful. They startet losing their "realness" in a way.

They're a lame thrash band that just stole from other bands without incorporating their influences into a sound of their own, but shit like Paradox and Assassin are real fucking good. As far as Rhapsody goes, what I like about them is that they're the best at creating epic atmospheres and nail those choruses, not to mention that they embrace cheese and are great at it, which is not something that can be said for most power metal bands out there. BorgarSpeed is pretty neat. Especially Agent Steele. Exumer basically did what every small thrash metal band did in the beginning, and a lot of bigger bands still do. If you play music in a certain subgenre you always end up sounding kinda like someone else, so whats the big deal. I am not big on power metal in general.
Also the best band on this list is easily Warrant

That's all good and shit, but Exumer never really did much outside of copying other bands. I can deal with wearing your influences on your sleeve so to speak, but just blatantly copying shit without adding something of your own into the mix isn't really a good thing.
