There were tons of better metal bands back then. You had Celtic Frost, Sodom, Bathory, Mercyful Fate, to name a few, Manowar just sucks.

All those bands you mentioned are great, so how do you not get Manowar? Have you listened to Into Glory Ride?
Tbh I don't trust people who listen to Metal but don't like any classic Manowar.

I've listened to Battle Hymns and I didn't enjoy it. It sounded cheesy to my ears.
