it's been a while (about a year) since I've made anything, but I have something that I've been messing with for the past few days. thank you guys for still being here
When everything starts kicking in it feels like I'm playing a bullet hell Touhou and I really like it. Its boss battle-esque. At first I wasn't sure on that clap sound but the snares evened it out.
Here's my shit attempt at Oriental/Anime style trap I made for Tonzo Gen. Go easy.
Listentning to your stuff, though simplistic I really apreciate the mood you're going for. You pull it of well dude!
Thanks for the feedback.
And also bullets hells are awesomeeee

My only advice would be to replace that snap you have in there. Might I suggest a wooden block percussion with reverb to match the ambient feel. Nice ambient track otherwise. :)
Not great; mic quality as well as a general misunderstanding of tonality and volume plagues this track. Intonation is usually not a huge deal in rap but in your line "put your static noise in my mind on hold" the word -hold- specifically sounds so weird and teenage. as if your voice is occasionally cracking, or perhaps you couldn't be too loud in the space you were recording it in on your PC headset. The photos and subject matter lead me to believe you're sort of edgy and maybe consider yourself a conspiracy theorist that believes in gang stalking and 5g cancer causing. Stuck in roughly 2012 deviant art, the pics in the video it self remind me of that old emo comic "I made you a cookie but I eated it" and also included things like selfies. I don't know, low quality bonafide cringe in my opinion. Sorry friend.
Cool vocal harmonies. It's tough to do much of anything 'new' in the lofi scene but this feels fresh. The guitar jangles hit the spot like a cold lemonade. subscribed.
This is great~! your vocal performer has a tone I love, reminds me of 'cats and cats and cats' (one of my favorites) The guitar tapping in particular sounds incredible and is very percussive instead of melodic and taps up right on time with the snare which I think is super clever. The saw and harmonica fits really well and I could listen to this a lot I think. Maybe I should give you some dollars even. Would be awesome live I bet! Our mouths to smile sounds exhausting to scream through, so emotional. Some of the best I've heard in these threads in some time.
home is where dude here. thank you so much man. that really means a lot. live shows get pretty intense and one of us usually gets a little banged up but it’s a lot of fun to play. glad you noticed a lot of the little things we put into the songs too.

I keep on withholding commentary on this track but
is right
Ignoring the lyrics or anything else, listening to the track even an untrained ear can tell that there's something fundamentally wrong with it
The rapper has absolutely no understanding of or relationship with the beat. I'm pretty sure this is how many rappers operate and it isn't a problem with autotune but you didn't use it.
You're going to either need to use autotune or develop a cursory understanding of basic music theory

Pretty cool percussion work.
Old school punk that gives way to a more torn down "cloud nothings"-esk guitar led soundscape full of excelent effects and huge gain/reverb. The vox are awesome and I wish they were louder. Over all a pretty tight little piece.
So torn down that it just lingers barely in the aether. A little wind chime vibe that just sort of dribbles the melody down the back of my throat. I like it, Last remembrance is a high point for me. The chamber type strings are tasteful, as a cellist myself it's nice to here the instrument utilized in a supportive way and not as some big brutish melody guitar supplement.
Cool guitar tones. I have a window open next to me and with some birds chirping outside this really just put me right into peace. Great for shrugging off worries. A couple of times I hear you hit the wrong note during the lead line and you quickly slide up/down to the correct note. I think that just re-running the part would add some polish, but even with those momentary blips into dissonance (intentional or otherwise) I still really enjoy your sound. Great for a Sunday like today, browsing the internet and hanging out with my empty apartment.
Thanks for the backup, thought I was being harsh- but yeah. Sorry again , it's rough. Use our words as motivation not a reason to quit!
I never give negative feedback desu but your post emboldened me
Like scam said don't quit. Buy a keyboard, label the keys, learn what chords are, learn what scales are, bam you pretty much know everything you need to
This is really good, I like the mix a lot, and the instrumentation is nice, kinda reminds me of the Black Angels, Wooden Shjips, Moon Duo, stuff like that
>soundcloud.com/danglarsdreams/help-kelp Your assertion of "fog everywhere" is really proper. I feel like your tracks are describing places more than musical ideas. Like an old drippy basement or a lighthouse islands with old folktales of curses being explored by a group of young friends who aren't in any actual danger. Really Great use of texturing and placement of melodies. Pretty great sense of knowing when/where to mix a part up to the front of a track (the flute like melodies on "Dkrat" for instance) or keep it in the back like the little "xlyos in life below, up within". Interesting compositional work that all has a very defined "xandela" vibe
Perfectly serviceable dubstep. Slightly dated but aggressive and melodic with a compressed out mix. Maybe I don't have the pallet for dubstep but I feel like your take on this sort of track could have been a little fresher is all. I have no real complaints but nothing really stands out as particularly unique about these wubs to make any headway or fresh breaths out here in 2019
Good jangles with nice spaced out vocals. Very bike ride through the sunny subrubs sort of feelings. A little short to really dissect but this is pretty solid jangly indie lofi; recommend if that's your thing.

New song and video out from New Zealand band Dirty Pixels
You have an interesting voice and TFW no gf made me laugh when you strum exactly in time with your singing lol. I bet you're pretty cute. I can't tell how seriously you're taking this but I'd love for you to really put some effort and track something long form tracking the guitar separately. Spectral bride is a real high point from what I've heard of yours.
Groovy bass and cool mixture of live instrument tones and very bit crushed bleeps bloops and pots and pans. I am slowly fading away is pretty cool too. I like you're sense of progression. subscribed.
The baseline is fun I love 8ths and 16ths above the twelve and I'm a sucker for using the guitar lowish in the mix as you do. Got a kek out of me when the maraca came in the room and could really be chroma keyed out and you're just so confident. I have made a lot of videos like this and never know how to "represent" the percussion so kudos too you. good idea. Subscribed looking forward to more.
Love that game, Love eddies character. Love carnage ock. Great remix great bassline. Really groovy fucking thread right now. I love the idea of a concept album based off of a hardware retracted spiderman game. The foggy city streets and all that just drips with flavor. Also the synth line that kicks in around 1"40 is killer. Modulated very well. Looking forward to how you expound on this idea.

i dont think you understand the point of these threads lol
>soundcloud.com/danglarsdreams/help-kelp this shit is actually amazing. the textures and the ambiance are so large and so... depressing?... melancholic? idk like a friken memory. i love it
