Where can I go to hear more cool guitar playing?
Nowhere. He was the last good guitarist.
Chicago’s first five albums

Be sure to check out Rory Gallagher, as far as I know Hendrix himself was a fan of him.
Quicksilver Messenger Service. Their live album Happy Trails is great and has some fantastic guitar work
I’m a big fan of Dylan Carlson’s guitar playing in Earth.

listen to the three albums of The Jimi Hendrix Experience in chronological order of release
you can easily see his creative and technical development
I hadnt really listened to Jimi Hendrix much at all, but the other day I listened to All Along the Watchtower and it blew my mind, instantly felt goosebumps.
Something about the guitar, or his playing, maybe something to do with the amp, I have no idea but it just sounded so beautiful and unrestrained, it just makes me imagine beams of light coming out of the guitar or something.

This.
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robert Fripp are the two that come to mind.
What's the best Jimi Hendrix album?
Electric ladyland. It's the culmination of everything he's worked up to.
axis is better imo but theyre both great. but honestly i think his most exciting guitar playing is on live stuff, not to say the studio stuff isnt fucking amazing, it is, but it depends what youre looking for.
Robert Fripp on Brian Eno albums; Another Green World especially.
Neil Young, Stone Roses - Crimson Tonight and JLP - go tell the mountain
It seems like Jimi Hendrix is one of those few artists where you can make a strong argument that any one of his albums are his best work. The only other artist I can think of that's on the same level of consistently great quality is Nick Drake who also died after releasing three albums.
Django Reinhardt
Tommy Emmanuel
DIMEBAG
Pantera sucks, boomer.
