Huh. That’s funny. I was driving in the car today thinking about what a sorry piece of shit I am and I put on my favorite beach boys song Don’t Worry Baby (my dad showed it to me when I was like 4 and I cried after the song because it was over and It’s been a favorite since then) and i wept a few tears for the first time in like, 7 years.
Brian Wilson is a master a creating soul moving pieces of music isn’t he?
The Morning Frog gets me every single time I listen to Hounds Of Love

This. Music can be beautiful and make me feel many many emotions but never enough to make me cry. I just don’t think I’m a crier, I haven’t cried in over a decade, even though sadness is very prevalent in my life. Any tips on how to cry, not relating to music? I’ve felt all these years that a good cry would feel really nice, and since apparently Yea Forums thinks you’re a monster if you don’t cry, any tips on how to break that wall would be great, surely you guys are pros if these are your reactions to someone not crying to music

The first time I listened to this song was after I came back from an event my friends and I held one summer. My high school oneitis was there and we talked and danced together. We don't see each other that often and we didn't part on the best of terms, so it was nice talking to each other again and having fun.
The next morning I was feeling all those oneitis feelings again and this song came on. Hit me like a ton of bricks, cried for 10 minutes, chest hurting. It was the first time I cried that hard. The whole experience helped me process those feelings for good.
the song north pole by injury reserve specifically

"Rhubarb" by Aphex Twin.
It's popular enough to make me doubt it sometimes, and although I've heard it enough to be tired of it, it still fucks me up to the point of tears.
You tell yourself you shouldn’t like a song because it’s popular? Fucking kill yourself
It's doubt in the sense of "oh, everyone else feels that way about this song, so this feeling can't be too unique to myself." Every comment on videos featuring it mentions something about nostalgia and a mixture of happiness and sadness. I still like the song, but it's difficult to listen to.

Most people cry because of shit unrelated to the actual music and wouldn’t have cried if they were not already sad. That being Constant Bloom really played with my emotions.
