banger
the micheal jordan of drunk driving is easily his best song and I wish he wrote more stuff like that
sad songs (intermission) is a fucking anthem
Good album! Seeing them play Big Bird live was a religious experience.
This album screams having a big dick
Not my favourite AJJ release but it definitely has some highlights. Love how much American Tune angers some people.
Just so everyone is clear the song American Tune isn't literally Sean singing about how he is a privileged straight white man in America, it's a song about how despite all the apparent privilege he has he is still no better off as a result of it
fag music if you listen to this shit kys
I don't know why there is such inconsistency in the explanation behind this track. Sean is just a sjw. That's it. It's not sarcastic. It's not ironic. Hes not playing both sides. Sean is just talking about privilege and that's where it ends. The only tracks that are actively sarcastic were candy cigarette era and he actively dismisses anything from that era.
You dont have to flog yourself for liking the band despite how cringey this track may or may not sound to you.
Nah, he really is just retarded
The verse where he sings about how bad luck doesn't exist in his world because of his skin colour, gender and sexual orientation is clearly sarcastic, and the line where he laments that his dad used his privilege as a male to abandon him as a child ties into the theme of the entire album that nobody is truly free from suffering and misery; American Tune uses that motif under the lens of identity based privilege
If you look into any AJJ content post Cant Maintain theres notable trends in Sean's political and social beliefs. The dude whole heartedly believes in privilege.
Their worst album. And their best albums aren't great.
There are so many better folk-punk bands out there, I have no idea why this shit floated to the top.
Privilege certainly exists, but not to the extent that the song portrays it as, that's where the sarcasm comes in, I'm not denying that Sean believes in privilege, but the way he deals with his supposed privilege in the song is deeply sardonic
Garbage
their last good album
>changing your name not to offend muslims
the first onions boys
basedboy
what happens when I spell it
>his
This shit sucks
Sorry guys, I'm jk, this band is great, and if you listen to it you're a lot better than me
the most s-o-y album in existence
Not really, different guy, hes just a pussy. Like him anyway though
i like backpack
It used to be the one AJJ album I didn't care for but now it's starting to grow on me
Absolutely love this album but Can't Maintain is my personal favorite. I got to talk to Sean at a show once and he's a really nice guy
