For a second I thought that was Skin Diamond. I'm embarrassed that I know some pornstars, but I'm glad I know Skin Diamond. She is so fucking hot. I'd go watch her right now if I hadn't been abusing myself too much lately. This morning my dick was chappy and literally stinging, so I have to leave myself alone for a while. Oh well.

Why not try it? I would never buy a guitar that I hadn't tested
Christian Perez
I personally wouldnt but you do you
Cooper Thompson
damn my mom is hot
Charles Thomas
no shit, but I'm asking my bros on /gg/ what they think because I'm shitposting while watching the truck race.
>I personally wouldnt sounds about right for me then
Get some help
Dylan Richardson
Don't expect more than obvious answers if you ask obvious questions. If you like some shit, buy it, who cares.
Asher Harris
How else are you supposed to LARP as Zorro on doughnuts?
I decided to make some food but I downloaded the track
Christopher Flores
Don't know. I don't play punk. Sorry.

isn't Jack tired of playing crappy guitars now?

I wouldn't pay $350 to just see a guitar. No.
Sebastian Thompson
Yeah, he seems to have formally adopted the EVH Wolfgang as his "main" but he also uses that meme of a guitar from Music Man fairly often because "MUH WAHMEN," no doubt
I've always liked Music Man designs, specially the basses. This one just doesn't do it for me, even though I haven't heard or played one. Might check it later.
Grayson Torres
I doubt this can be answered here but I just bought a busted combo amp for cheap because there’s an issue with the amp. The there’s no sound, but you can see the audio peaking. Turning it all the way up does nothing, still no sound. But when i turn up the overdrive if I pluck a string hard you can hear the amp pop and crackle. Any idea what may cause this?
>garage rock stuff Not him, but get something with a P90 or some humbuggies.
Jace Nguyen
Is it okay to learn how to play on acoustic, if my intention is to eventually play distorted electric?
I have an acoustic guitar, and I really don't feel like dealing with all the equipment for an electric right now. But eventually I would like to transition to playing something like grindcore, crust punk, death metal, metalcore, etc.
Robert Nelson
Benson amps are one past that direction. They sound like you're plugging into an old radio.

No noise at all, only when I really hit the low E string hard do I get any output and it’s only a poppy, crackley mess.
Samuel Peterson
based if it's actually from playing, based and redpilled if it's from YOUR playing, unbased and bluepilled if it's from that factory like that.
It's like pre-ripped jeans. Fuck that shit. If I have a hole in my knee I want it be there because I was a dumbass and forgot how to walk for a step and fell off my brother's front step and busted my knee open. Totally a hypothetical story there, but you get the idea.
Lucas Murphy

I bought it wit the intentions of possibly fixing the amp, at the very least wiring to work as a small speaker cabinet for Practices. I have an Ampeg SVT350 head and a 610 cab currently and It gets pretty annoying loading and unloading a 610 cab at practice.
James Barnes
I still don't get what having a horn-like timbre on electric guitar us suppossed to sound like because I certainly don't hear it
Jonathan Gray
I meant to reply to
Robert Gutierrez
>8 string >multiscale >H-S-S passive >fixed bridge Is getting one custom made my only option?
Matthew Collins
Well, that means it's not the pots. Probably a connection issue.
Kevin Murphy
No. Your best option is to stop memeing so damn hard.
Am I the only one that sees that album for the overrated meme that it is? And I like the dino in the case
Parker Stewart
Charvel HH with floyd
David Collins
it's both a great album and an overrated meme, thank god Yea Forumscore has shifted to more popular stuff and let it rest
Gavin Martinez
To me its new. I barely discovered this band this year and i like the change in pace compared to new stuff released After i study and analyze what makes it sound good ill move on. Whats something new youre listening to? Thanks i like the dino too
>Whats something new youre listening to? Define "new." When it comes to guitar based music, there's not much I listen to that didn't debut before 2000. But there's a couple newer bands that I've been grooving recently that are actually from the same label as American Football, those being White Reaper and Wampire.
Jacob Campbell
Yeah i meant new to you. Stuff you didnt listen to before recently. Edgy names and all but do you like em?
Thomas Williams
>do you like em Yeah, they channel old stuff but in a way that I like. As for "didn't listen to before recently" I'd have to go with the Eagle of Death Metal. Really grooving their stuff at the moment and only really started to dig into them a month or so ago.
Aiden Anderson
Heard of them obviously after the incident but since i actually like and listen to death metal i never gave them a try because of the meme name.
Camden Murphy
Everything Josh Homme does is a meme and Jesse Hughes is the same way. Doesn't mean they don't make good music. EoDM use the Keith Richards tuning, but double up the low G instead of just taking off the E string like Richards does. Makes for an interesting style
Brandon Perez
GUITAR IS TURNING YOU GAY
Samuel Evans
Do that fuck josh homme is in that band too? He really likes the amp i use. Do eodm use a jcm900 too. I know he did for kyuss's more iconic stuff.
Yeah, Jesse Hughes and Josh were best buds from high school and when Jesse's life fell apart when his wife left him Josh came along and taught him guitar, went away on tour with Queens, came back and Jesse had written a couple songs that were really good, Whorehoppin being one of them, and Josh told him to write more, and he did, and they were all good. So the two of them went into the studio and made the first EoDM album. And no, they don't use Marshall. For the studio it's guitar into a couple different fuzz pedals direct into the board. For live they use Orange amps. They actually did a rig rundown recently I can link up for you if you'd like.
Benjamin Cook
Sorry for the wall of text, I'm autistic af about music and bands.

Kevin Perry
Dont worry about it so am i. Yeah after looking up his rig yesterday i had the sudden urge to acquire an ampeg 8x10 to hook up to my jcm900. But at the end of the day those bands arent my cup of tea. What guitars do you have?
Noah Moore
Folks what is the best tuning and why is it F#F#F#F#BA
Hudson Moore
Because you have fetal alcohol syndrome and you were born addicted to meth.
Jaxson Robinson
WHY DO THE NIPPON FUCKS LIKE MARSHALL AMPS SO MUCH
Evan Barnes
>What guitars do you have I haven't gotten a new guitar in 8 years so pls don't judge. But I've got my first which was a cheap Dean because it was on clearance for $65 when my dad and I went and it was the first thing we saw. After that I got a BC Rich Warlock because edgy 13 year old. I've got a couple 90's Squire strats, and an Kramer from 1980 with a Floyd Rose from back when I thought I wanted to do the shreddy thing.
I'm selling the Warlock and Kramer soon. I want to get the maple neck Fender Mustang and slap a super distortion in the bridge tho. Probably have that all set and done by the end of April because I've really gotten back into guitar again and I wanna start a band.
Jaxson Flores
because theyre good, you hipster fuck
Wyatt Morales
I like the sound of low output single coils with distortion effects. It sounds more metal than drop tunings and active pickups.
I also like to play slayer riffs with a clean tone + hella reverb and random vibrato use.
Fight me.
The pre-weathered jeans of guitars.
>yeah, i totally play, like, a lot, outside even
Robert Gonzalez
>I also like to play slayer riffs with a clean tone + hella reverb and random vibrato use So you like surf rock then? Sucks Dick Dale died, man... But that's life.
Adrian Phillips
nips are brandwhores but they're a different kind of brandwhore because they don't see our pop culture like we do, so they look like hipsters from our viewpoint
if they had taste they'd use orange amps
Benjamin Perry
No, I like norcal black metla. Do you know how good burzum songs sound like that? Really good.
my boy Slim has been a bassist in a lot of those bands
Jace Foster
I'm listening to White Reaper right now, so far they sound great. I was actually looking for bands that sounded similar to Cheap Trick, wasn't expecting anything from 2017.
Christian Anderson
>Wampire
Put down the reverb pedal, man!

I own a Jazzmaster, a Jaguar, an Electric XII and a Music Man St Vincent Signature, and there is nothing you can do about it, /gg/.
ok Yea Forums I'm in the market for a new amp, currently using a fender frontman 15r, which was my first amp that I got used cheap for $40. It sounds alright, but doesn't get me the sound I want, which is high distortion. Ideally a combo amp for convenience, I'm deciding between: -Peavey Valveking 112 tube amp (50w) -Peavey vypyr solid state modeling amp (40w) -using my current amp for 6 months until I can afford an evh 5150 III tube combo amp Mostly playing at home, would really like to gig eventually and I want something good that will last I am open to suggestions, someone mentioned jet city amps, which from the videos I watched sound pretty good, but don't have a clean option, which I would still like to have access to. What do you think Yea Forums?
Holy fuck I would. Full disclosure: I don't play, I just think it looks gorgeous.
Logan Jackson
Honestly that looks pretty neat. then again I love both of the guitars its based on.
Liam Ortiz
looks like something jack white would play avoid
Zachary Davis
E flat tuning is probably the best. for some reason it makes everybody 25% better at guitar.
Ayden Mitchell
nobody here plays. this is why roman arrived and left in the first place, making fun of all of the trips that posted gear all day and didn't actually know how to play. he said /gg/ stands for gear general
it's true
it's time to rant... this is why this general sucks compared to others. it requires some kind of skill to post anything worth posting and most people don't have that skill and attempt to compensate with the idea that their guitar or amplifier matters. it's like how ugly people go to /fa/ and pretend that the clothes they wear will make some difference. they're still ugly with their $1,000 outfit, everyone here still is talentless, no matter what you spend your money on. froosh posted one time playing a Squier directly lined into a audio interface to make this point and trips were claiming he was using different electronics and a better interface or something and it was pathetic how in denial these schizos really are about their lack of skill. fuck this place.
I play, but I suck because I've only been playing for two months.
The only guitar that hasn't frustrated me was a telecaster, so that's what I play. All these flat necked jumbo fret 10+ gauge string modern guitars feel awkward. I don't give a single shit about wood. I like behringer effects pedals because guitar pedals are seriously $10 of electronics in a $30 metal enclosure wiith a $60+ brand name. I can hear the difference between tube and solid state amps and solid state amps sound better.
Nobody will ever agree with me so I just >imply and larp as a gibson fag for (yous)
Oh. No replies, I feel you my bass bro. If you are weeb enough you should look into Japanese punk jazz bands namely 385 and Midori, they have awesome basslines too.
Justin Clark
Guitarist looking to get a base for practice, learning and recording. I've narrowed it down to these entry level models. I really want active circuitry, so I'm not interested in the more vintage type stuff. Does anyone have any experience with any of these bases? How are they?
Yes, the Cort did have the most interesting tones from that P style pickup, at least from what I heard in the samples. Can't seem to find an active Jaguar around me. I will research the Sting Ray, though. Wasn't aware of it. Thanks.
Levi Bailey
Alright lads I need to relearn guitar/bass since I've never learned how to use a pick, I've always used my finger nail How should I go about this?
Isaiah Lewis
Practice alternate picking
Justin Campbell
Get a pick you're comfortable with, I personally started with a .50mm and currently play with a .60mm. Holding it should come as intuitive, but there are still lots of material everywhere about how to hold it with basically no variations between them. Start downpicking and then switch to alternate picking, again, there is a good amount of material everywhere.
These picks are the best , I use 0.73mm (or whatever the yellow ones are)
Jason Campbell
Probably should have posted where I'm at "skill" wise with just using the finger nail, I'm playing bass/guitar on this track youtube.com/watch?v=aMjXYDuMrqI Should I get the pack with six different sizes or just stick to one for now?
Matthew Rodriguez
Buy a few different sizes and stick to what you like.
Justin Gomez
Get a pack with different sizes, chances are you're going to end using one and stick to it, but is good to have variety starting up.
Mason Russell
This isn't a drum general but it is an instrument. Might be a dumb question. Is it cheaper to buy a whole set or buy the parts individually?
Thomas Robinson
Fuuuuck I want one of these. I will get the pink or the grey one by the end of the year.
Dominic Wood
Alright cool, just ordered the six pack which has 0.50mm to 1.14mm in it Thanks for the help!
Jaxon Stewart
For guitar when I play a lot of chords and multiple strings, I use .60 thickness. If I'm doing chords and single string plucking, I use .73 thickness. For bass if I use a pick, I usually use those Jazz III picks.
Aaron Howard
In theory, whole sets usually come cheaper as most of them keep it simple. However, most retailers and people don't really sell whole sets. Most of the time you're going to find just the shell pack, meaning you will have to buy cymbals, stands and pedals.
Thomas Davis
Nobody cares.
Liam Jackson
-about your shitty gear.
Logan Thompson
There’s one on reverb for $230 that doesn’t have the PJ pickup config, it has a single humbucker style pickup in the bridge (like the Cort you posted) it won’t let me copy the link, but type “Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass” Look for this bass.
Nobody cares about your shitty attempts at trolling and you're so desperate for attention you're posting your face on Yea Forums.
Benjamin Bailey
take your medication. you think someone from 5 years ago is playing boogeyman on a daily basis this entire time, you're schizophrenic.
Grayson Wood
You're just a pathetic loser, nobody cares.
Aiden Morgan
Imagine thinking he even existed.
Dominic Anderson
froosh really destroyed you didn't he lmao
Connor Russell
Just shut up already, nobody cares. When I replied to your shitty bait post you made at 3 in the morning the very next post was you responding because you're a loser with nothing better better to be doing. You just sit in here and shitpost all day and all night trying to get some attention. You're just a clown.
Luis Diaz
>be learning a song >it starts off with the E myxolidian chords >then on the chorus it goes to a strong A >then Em >the Em feels like betrayal to the original E >feel a block to learning the song what the hell is happening? am i developing OCD?
Anthony Martin
1 chord is fine, 2 is plenty. 3 and you’re in jazz territory.
Tyler Walker
Should i get a classical guitar? i'm into a neofolk phase and i just don't like the way fingerstyle sounds on acoustic
So you're one of the people who keeps pushing that there is someone posting daily for 5 years, 24/7? also >nobody cares! over and over yet you keep replying!
Adrian Nguyen
yeah it’s better for finger playing, the strings are spaced better. even the cheap ones are good, nylon sounds comfy
Josiah Price
What are the thickrst ghage acoustic strinfs i csn get that arent bass sttings
Hunter Gonzalez
Classical guitars are great, you can't beat that nice warm tone if you don't switch to a steel string every once in a while though, you'll get sissy babby fingers
William Perez
>am I developing OCD? sounds like it, not gonna lie. switching between different voicings is pretty frickin common my dude
I need extremely low tension guitar strings because my guitar is barely holding together. The neck is broken. Its only kept whole bytape and glue. I have access to free 7's electric guitar strings
Maybe if i use those and not string up all 5 ill be good?
Carson Richardson
honestly if your guitar is that bad and you can't afford to get proper repairs or a replacement, you should go for nylon strings instead. Electric guitar strings usually have fairly similar tension, but aren't designed for volume like acoustic strings are. With nylon, at least, you could get both the low tension and some of the volume
Asher Taylor
Jesus man, buy a new guitar.
Jordan Bennett
What are some super low tension nylons then
Its hard out there so ill play this until its dust
Adrian Carter
>what are some super low tension nylons then they all are. you can put nylons on a steel string guitar, but if you put steel strings on a classical guitar it'll blow up.
Kevin Powell
Yeah but there must be a range right? I just want my best chances with the lightest i can get
Hudson King
“The Pontiac Aztek of guitars”
Grayson Hall
dude, if it's that bad you might as well scrap that guitar and go get a cheapass secondhand guitar
Colton Gonzalez
Best guitar I’ve heard in recent years is a lot of two handed tapping artists and prof metal, both mostly instrumental. Chon is anime music though.
David Rodriguez
Unironically, Yes. I find myself listening to more instrumental guitar music now. Most of it is Neo Classical.
Cameron Roberts
I guessill hope ej43s are good enough
Zachary Morgan
Please can you recommend me some anime songs I could learn by ear? not too hard please
>hammer on, pull off, slide up the neck Is there a way to do this that doesn't hurt my fingees so much? (it's in drop D if anyone's gonna try to play it)
How hard is it to put a piezo pickup on my acoustic? I want to record and do affects with cleaner sound than a microphone held up to it. Do theymake kits
Leo Cook
>going full retard so senpai can notice you Cringe
