Spotify got rid of album length, a necessary function of any music app. Apparently ideas need 500 votes for Spotify to consider them. If you have a Spotify please just vote I hate this change

What the fuck is wrong with these people.
Take out something as simple as album length?
I'm still waiting for the option to repeat the same song on the mobile app with out having to create a 1 track playlist.

It's like this billion dollar company is run out of 20yo's garage.

>using spotify
lmao'ing at your life

jesus fucking christ what are they doing

If you hit the repeat button twice it gives you that, at least on the ios version

t. seething poorfags

Same in Android

my itunes student discount was supposed to end last month, so i downloaded spotify to test it out and maybe switch over so i could play music in the background on my ps4. i immediately noticed album length was missing. at the moment i just look up the album length online but i'm seriously considering dropping spotify because of this. it's a small detail and i'm sure they won't give a fuck about one less person, but fuck them. fucking idiots. what the hell are they thinking.

There you go
Hit the repeat button twice so it shows the numeral 1, and you can listen to a song on repeat

It’s like removing album art of song title, it’s one of the most important pieces of information

>implying i don't buy all my music on physical media
enjoy being dicked about by a faceless corporation loser

they still have it on desktop app tho

>album art of song title
That should say or, not of

I can’t bring my computer with me to the gym and listen that way. I use my phone

if they didnt remove it from the desktop app im assuming they just forgot to put it on mobile. they cant be that fuckin retarded

I guess i will not update my Spotify at the moment. Why would they delete album length when they kind of prioritize albums on artist pages, they are showed before singles and EPs?

It's still there for me.

No no, they used to have it on mobile but they specifically got rid of it. It used to be you could swipe the album art and it would show you the artist, the date released, and the album length. In fact, they still have that function in playlists! But they changed albums so now you scroll to the bottom to see the date released and the album length is gone

Me too. Swipe right.

You haven’t updated yet. I thought it was a glitch at first and told them I was having an issue, and they told me it was an update

they put that info on the bottom of the album page now. like the year and num of songs so maybe they just forgot

They updated the app. If you update to the latest version it’ll be gone

oh. Nevermind. The absolute fucking morons

>expected behavior
do they even listen to music?

>on latest update
>still can see album length
alright then

>using spotify to listen to albums
lmao
just dl them bro
spotify is nice for playlists tho

>lol just download albums
Spotify is good because you can instantly search up and listen to whatever you like on the go.

They SHOULD have fuckimg track lengths right next to the songs as well but they GOT RID of the album length all together? God fucking dam

It's still there for me. For the rest of you lucky fags, make sure to turn off automatic updates on spotify before it's too late.

First the new shitty library layout on android (and maybe iOS too, idk) and now this, I'm about to just switch to downloading on my phone.

Nope, doesn't work on my phone. Only in the desk top app. Maybe I need to reinstall or something

i down voet

>not already having all your favourite albums and singles on your phone

That’s not even the worst change, the worst is them basically ruining the entire albums section by showing the entire album instead of just the songs you saved. You can’t download the individual songs unless you wanna download the whole album with it. It’s fucking terrible.

I don’t get why companies constantly change shit and remove things people like, what’s the point?

point is if they actually listened to music they would not have removed it

>not finding more music

works for me :^D

looks like its there for me

It really is absurd that they don't even display the track lengths. Getting rid of the album lengths is just going full retard.

functions cost money to maintain and might not be worth it if your audience is braindead and doesn't use it
i bet 90% of spotify users just go on charts and press "play" and that's it, they don't care about anything else
