First off it's not even rock

on a technical level, yes it is easily in the top three

That's not Ride the Lightning

This

That came after the peak. Still kino.

Rock music? No, the peak of rock music would be something simple, danceable, mood lifting. Heavy metal music? No, that would definitely be something by Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. Thrash metal specifically? Perhaps...though I reckon Metallica have better albums.

The best heavy metal album is Paranoid, and the best thrash metal album is Ride the Lightning

>Perhaps...though I reckon Metallica have better albums.
I disagree. Metallica never displayed this level of tight play or complexity.

It is good, but it only ranks #175 on my list.

You do know those were Dave's riffs, right?

its easily in the top 10 greatest albums of all time in any genre

Not all of them, dummy

black sabbath is not metal, metal came in the 80s

Leave the hall.

Dave Mustaine: "In denim and leather
We were all part of one force
Knocked Rock and Roll on its ass
And put metal on the course"

Peak of thrash

and honestly I prefer Mustaine’s vocals and lyrics on this album to anything Hetfield has done. Hetfield always kinda sounds like he’s trying to be “edgy”

Leave the hall

Heavy metal

both great albums and the peak of both bands
however I'd like to point out Metallica had 2 great albums and 2 good ones (ride the lightning, Master Of Puppets,) (Kill em all, ...And Justice For all)
While Megadeth literally just had rust in peace.
Inb4 but m-muh peace sells
James Hetfield is a better vocalist than Mustaine as well.

MODS MODS UNDERAGE B&

That was just a great time for music in general, regardless of genre.
