Does anyone else much prefer In Utero over Nevermind?
They both have great songs, but In Utero for me has more replay value overall. It's just such a great album and is still a joy to listen to for me after all these years.
And In Utero doesn't have a baby dick on the cover, so it wins points there too.

Your opinion is cliche.
Production is literally shit and not to the audio's benefit. It's a bunch of dirty power chords riffs and Kurt screaming and shit. Their most shit album I swear
This
Bleach > Nevermind > In Utero
Preferring Nevermind is cliche, considering it's by far the more popular album
The melodies are great and they have some gentler stuff too.
Bleach is filled with throwaway songs.

Tons of people do, in fact people go out of their way to shit on nevermind by bringing up in utero. I think both are great albums but the production and certain songs on in utero are better
Of course In Utero's better, Nevermind is slick but disposable pop at its core. That it took off the way it did shocked even the people involved in its creation and distribution, NO ONE expected it to be the sensation that it was. In Utero's not as catchy but I'd definitely say the songs have more personality to them on average.
I find the album tracks on In Utero to be more catchy than the ones on Nevermind. I also find that the really good songs on In Utero are spaced out throughot the album instead of just being mostly in the first half of the album
nirvana never made a solid album but in utero has some great songs. i love dumb
>In Utero
>not solid
It's the only album I liked in my childhood that I still really like and listen to on a regular basis. I grew out of the Led Zeppelin and AC/DC but Nirvana in general will never get old to me
In Utero is very solid, I think almost every song is really good except for 1 or 2 of the noise songs towards the end. But they make up for it with Pennyroyal Tea and All Apologies.
if at least half of the songs are bad or forgettable. then the album is not solid
More than half of them are great.
Serve the Servants:absolute banger
Scentless Apprentice:absolute banger
Rape Me: absolute banger
Heart Shaped Box: absolute banger
Frances Farmer: banger
Dumb:absolute banger
Milk It:banger
Very Ape:banger
the noise songs:pretty good
Pennyroyal Tea: absolute banger
All Apologies: absolute banger
in utero is the album people with good taste like better, nevermind is for basics and bleach is for contrarians who think themselves punk but are probably cops
*Blocks your path*
I really wish Kurt was still around. His shows would have been so fun, if he avoided becoming a wastoid
When I was in high school, me and a buddy both got into Nirvana to impress a girl who was really into them. In the end, after we had each listened to their three studio albums, I preferred In Utero, him Nevermind, and her Bleach. We all respected each others' choices, though, as they're all great.
And no, we didn't bang her
I like in utero better too, but I'm a sucker for albini's production
Did you fuck her?
they have three albums and you have to be a fucking super contrarian to pick bleach, so that's kind of a weak point
of course you have to be a contrarian to pick Bleach. It has 2 or 3 really good songs, but most of the album is throwaway tracks.
actually love all of the songs on bleach. nevermind is overrated. in utero is my great but i hate all apologies and dumb, such lame songs. the unplugged album is the very best.
I love both Dumb and All Apologies. The latter makes me sad, because it's Kurt's bowing out and I had a feeling he knew he was done when he recorded that.
zzzzz sad songs with corny lyrics
dumb is 100% not corny. The only corny part of all apologies is the "aqua seafoam shame" part
i love dumb and all apologies
the reason for that is because you're a patrician and have good taste
I always thought so. In fact Nevermind is probably their least impressive album. It's good but never I got the wank from the critical world.
Isn't this the consensus for people who actually listened to all of Nirvana's music?
what's your favorite In Utero track?
the strings, the fact that he's apologizing
it's lame
I prefer In Utero contextually and sonically, but I still cant help finding Nevermind (Devonshire Mix only) a more enjoyable listen throughout. The songwriting really makes the difference, as its less dark on Nevermind
I think both albums are super dark, it all comes down to which set of arrangements you prefer
yeah in utero is the best nirvana album
Preferring nevermind is honestly based and redpilled
In Utero is probably as good, but Bleach kind of sucks ass. The recording is literally shit, and the songwriting is so grounded in generic sludge/metal
bleach sucks ass, but Kurt was only 21 or so and had to rush an album.
In Utero is a better album and the artwork is much better, I don't want to see a cut baby dick on an album cover
Maybe a little dramatic, but not really cringe. I mean, he did actually go through with the suicide. The intro guitar melody makes up for it anyway
I prefer you
Nevermind is the only good Nirvana album. Best production and most memorable songs. In Utero is slightly better than Bleach, but neither come close to the greatness of Nevermind.
the 24x "all in all is all we are" makes up for it too. If you're a Nirvana fan, that shit make you emotional
In Utero>Nevermind
Yes, and also Tourette's is best Nirvana song
bleach is fucking awesome, pleb
Shit band, no talent really. No good singing, no good guitar, no good lyrics, no good songs. Drumming is okay I guess, but who cares.
faggot
Nah if I was gay I'd listen to gay musicians like Nirvana. Lol.
no
no
in utero has dumb all apologies
in bloom and nevermind are better than both
Agreed
In Utero is literally thee shittest album
