Ignored it during yellowposting, listened after about 3-4 months. Album of the year without a doubt.
Great album, bad lyrics
based cavemanbro
When you die was the only good song
it's good only for a week
>guilty pleasure
Imagine being this insecure.
The whole first half is really good but the rest is just alright
I must have listened to Me and Michael 10 times in a row the first time I heard it
>t.insincere zoomer who spends too much time looking at his phone
exactly what I was getting at
The last three songs are great, though. James and Days That Got Away are the only meh songs.
James is a trip and Days is a banging instrumental. You listen to that bass with good speakers? Goddamn
Congrats on becoming yellowpilled
This is true for every mgmt album
second half is actual garbage tho
Hand it over is pretty good.
This, i loved it for a couple of days and was going to purchase a physical copy etc. but haven't really listened to it since except for a few times when i was drunk.
Seems a little cringe to write about phones being evil. Ok. So MGMT doesn't use phones?
What the fuck is up with people on this board? When is came out I had never seen anything like it on mu, everything was posting it and flipping out calling it aoty. FFW a few months nobody likes this album and everyone says it sucks. Now I'm seeing people saying they like it again.
Nobody's saying that phones are evil, they're actually pretty much necessary in today's world. The song is criticizing the addiction to it.
>critizing your own personal addiction is calling phones evil
You are a brainlet
>Yea Forums is one person
I am responsible for all of this.
>second half is bad
I never understood this sentiment. Days That Got Away, One Thing Left To Try, and Hand It Over are some of the best songs on the album.
The lyrics are like that on purpose. It’s a stylistic choice, they’ve talked about it in interviews.
We’re past the age where we had enough commonality to keep records in the spotlight. LDA deserves to be high Yea Forumscore I think.
