this is really groovy, you're really talented. I'm jealous af
vocals feel out of place imo, try to make them blend with the mix. you should keep going with the route you went with the hot head track, its fun.

ITS GOOD IDGAF I AM POISON DRINK ME

Attached: 26599.jpg (411x428, 25K)

Hey guys, i haven't used one of these threads in a while but I'm working on a brand new full length album so i thought I'd give feedback and check out other folks music Electronic Post Rock
>Abrasive Techno
>Industrial

>Insight (Prelude)
Really sombre, production style is pretty gorgeous, nothing sounds cheesy like I thought it would with this type of music but honestly you're hitting the nail right on the head. Although I do really like the ambience you use throughout this track is quite pleasent I think the track could have worked even better if it was used a bit more sparingly and minimalistic. Overall though fantastic job, I'm saving this EP.

>Hot Head
Quite a fun track. Not a huge fan of it all over but I did find it funny and a good time. Definitely focus more on your production and maybe make the drums mix better.
>fall apart
Reminds me of Bill Wertz a lot. The production is on point, songwriting isn't for me but honestly for what you're going for you do it justice. Vocals are also really nice, maybe a little less reverb but hey that's a nitpick
>Sick pt. 3
Vocals fit for the style, production is nice, drums could use a little work i think but hey they fit and serve their purpose. Definitely a lot of potential in this. The ending call of "please just go away" is actually pretty great and i thought the vocal fry was just right, didn't come off screamo-y or cringey at all for me. Good work.

Gonna continue this in another comment the type box is too filled lol

here

>NAILS (Prod. Forestofgold)
Definitely not for me. It's a bit overproduced for the "lofi" tag and the vocals aren't what they could be. But overall for the style it's alright.
>Orange Shoes
Can feel a big Smiths influence in this. Drums are very slick and production is on point. Not much comes to mind but it's really enjoyable.
>You need out
Nice lush production. Reminds me of King Gizzard's more calmy kind of songs, you got a similar voice.
>Take A Shot
Other than the obvious stuff like it being a bit rough around the edgest and the production not being what it could be, this song is fucking great! Headbanged quite a lot, and honestly the outro was just so great. Keep it up. Only thing i could add is maybe put some reverb or something on the drums, wayyy too dry.
>Nah [Produced By laurel sane]
The bass on this is insane. Beat is catchy as fuck if not a little bit generic. Fucking banger my dude
>Old Pain Untreated (ladidada osolo)
Reminds me of Lou's deadpan vocal delivery. Fun track.
>Elephant In The Room
Great voice. A little too lowkey for me, but you do what you do pretty well. Like the little instrumental break around the 1 minute mark that gets repeated a few times here and there. Very cute and it made me smile.
>sorroro v2 - taylorponton x kastell
cLOUDDEAD anyone? Great stuff here. Love the atmosphere. The bars were fire too.

Chip tune/punk rock. This has been played on regional radio, if that's worth anything.

Over produced dance music that keeps the wide-pitched supersaw wave + reverb aesthetics, but focuses on subverting tropes in the genre, elevating composition and harmony, expressing a diverse range of moods in a short time period, showcasing subtle sound design, and using unexpected chord progressions and song structures. I put about six hours a day into this stuff, so please tell me if you think I'm garbage so I can get a real hobby.

>soundcloud.com/user-306573910/4a-1/s-m44hq

I mean, it's produced, that's for sure. I don't know if I'd say over-produced. It's not produced very well. The percussion really isn't very tight, which is what gives this kind of music its punch and grants a sense of satisfactions when drops come around. That and the low end, which is pretty much missing by my ears. I mean you have some good, interesting ideas in here, for sure. Would be neat if it were all much tighter. Also the amount of sidechain compression you're using is simply incredible. I know it's a part of the genre, but jeez, feels like a lot to me.

Also literally everything is a supersaw. It's all just goddamned detuned to shit supersaws.

Also I don't know if I'd call the arguably offensively obvious use of resolving suspended chords to be "subverting tropes", or "elevating harmony", but that's just me.

Sorry for being such a prick. Your music does have a bunch of potential.

My very first release I'm actually proud of.

>dubstep
>electronic
>I don't fucking know

I admit I sounded pretty pretentious but the sus chords aren't necessarily what I was referring to when I said I wanted to put more effort into harmony or subverting tropes of the genre. I can see how someone would find the sus chords corny though, it's not my favorite part of the track either. I'm still learning to produce, that's why I'm here on Yea Forums trolling for pricks like you to shit all over it as opposed to pretending like I'm ready to associate my name with this stuff, looking for false reinforcement. I do appreciate you seeing the potential.

Hey you're the first person to just shit on my music like that and give me really honest criticism, would you mind adding me on soundcloud or something? I'm working on cleaning the mix up and I want to hear what you think about it when I'm done.
