i have 9,42 EUR left in my paypal account.
post your favorite album and write briefly why it is your fav album. if it happens to be my fav album as well (it is not some obscure shit, it's an album that is talked about here sometimes), i will ask you to post your paypal email and then i'll send you the money.
Hey guys, im feeling generous today
penis - the penis album
fuck you OP im not doing your homework for you. write your own review.
>no, i dont want free money!!11!
the album that got me into music. i first listened to it when i was an edgy 16 year old doing mdma and ketamine every weekend, permanently living in a hazy, dreamy state, and its themes are very relevant to that time of my life and always bring back memories.
NLDW is pretty good
thanks for applying, tho this is not the album i meant. but continue to have fun with it ;)
make it worth my while. give me one thousand dollars.
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock is fucking incredible dude like the textures and the sounds and like fuccck it was the first album that made me realize that music can be more than just musical instruments like it can be just SOUNDS like a fucking space heater or a cup of water or whatever. my email is [email protected]
i dont have that much spare money to spend on a random user i like. either apply for the 9,42 or dont.
Put a zero on the end of that and we can talk
It’s Spiderland for non autistic people
I Set My Friends On Fire - You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter
It was always, in my opinion, peak metalcore, a perfect balance of dissonance and melody, the heavy parts are massive, while the soft/poppier parts have some of the most top-tier and memorable vocal melodies.
Can’t wait to hear their shelved 2010 album with a fresh mix/master when it drops Friday!
It's my favorite because it deals with the theme of death and coming to terms with it
This album is the equivalent of digging up the putrid corpse of rock and roll and jamming electrodes in its skull in order to reanimate it. You can almost taste its sour tone just by looking at the piss-coloured album artwork. Best fucking guitar work on any record in maybe 30 years.
This album's production still sounds super fresh (particularly with the 5.1 mixdown) and the fact that they're all one chord jams is insane. The lyrics describe post-industrial alienation and the desire for something more spiritual in a way few other bands can pull off.
spiderland just sounds the way it has to sound.
it's like when you're a small child and you fall asleep in the back of the car on the drive home and wake up to your dad carrying you to bed, but you pretend to stay asleep because it's so comfy and warm
cause it kicks major ass bigtime
deathconsciousness
oh shit i forgot to describe why
it's devoid of all hope and that's kinda just what i'm going through right now. i like dan's vocals, they're comforting for some reason
hasnt been mentioned yet, but thanks to all those applying. i will keep watching the thread. you can apply until this thread reaches bump limit, i wont make another thread tho.
what are some of your other favorites OP
storytelling is fucking amazing
cant really tell, because that would make my fav very predictable
whats the best album thats been posted so far in your opinion then?
they dont really speak to me. i have only listed to spidercore because it was on the mu core chart and i tried those albums. but it didnt find it memorable.
The Man Machine and Autobahn by Kraftwerk are mine, both amazing explorations in sound and composition. The latter having a particularly "cold" feel to it
i will admit i really like this album, but its not my fav.
it's just so incredibly uplifting and rich and never fails to make me smile.
This album helped me through my first heartbreak. Paddy's writing is so romantic and poetic but undercuts it with a knowing irony. The arrangements are so densely layered and the songs are full of interesting dynamics. There are no predictable chord progressions
The Semensuckers - fucking the penis of a nigger in the dawn
It's Neu! - s/t because it features the masterful and even revolutionary for its time blend of electronic music and rock which perfectly add up each other as well as the great use of motorik beat which makes melody sound pressing, absorbing and even psychedelic yet still not just repetitive thanks to the use of sound effects, which empower the psychedelic effect, too
I'll make it a bit easier - if your named album is one of my favorite 3 albums you'll win.
its definitely talk talk spirit of eden or laughing stock cuz they're best albums of all time
My favourite album is Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins.
It is my favourite album because it was the gateway drug from dadrock to more contemporary alt rock. I really like long, minimalist songs with big swinging crescendos and if I think about it that probably has a lot to do with how Soma was my absolute favourite song for a long time. My mom showed it to me when I was a kid and that probably adds to it because we're very close.
Is it some Aphex Twin bullshit
its red house painters down colorful hill cuz its best albums of all time
>Dance for me, clowns, and I shall give you my money
Nein, fick dich.
what language is this, gayish?
For me, it's Tarkus. It has a great balance between the bass, drums and hammond, speaking of which, is probably its peak as an instrument. The album is overall beautifully composed.
>schrieb er, nachdem er von seinem 8-stündigen Arbeitstanz...ähm...Tag nach Hause kam und diskutierte daraufhin grinsend seine Lieblingsmusik in einem anderen thread ;)
