How do I into jazz??
How do I into jazz??
puff out your chest
have an appreciation for instrument virtuosity and/or music theory and composition
just listen to it.
gee is jazz really that much of a pretentious genre?
got a lol, thanks
why do you into jazz?
Because I want to broaden my tastes by into the genre I feel like I am missing out on most.
try this
youtube.com
Smooth Jazz is the most accessible and digestible form of jazz in my opinion. It has nice melodies and it's not offbeat or freeform or anything. Check out the album Lucky Man by Dave Koz
Oh yeah I totally agree. In fact, most of the jazz I like currently is smooth. Thanks for the rec tho
This is very nice. Thanks user
Try to ease into jazz by looking at artists who combine jazz styles with other genres. If you’re more hip hop/RnB oriented, check out guys like Thundercat and Art Porter. If you’re more rock oriented, maybe Mahavishnu Orchestra or Zappa
If you are into hip hop an easier transition can be achieved by listening to albums with jazz musicians/samples
For example the Jazzmatazz by guru (three volumes)
Or Digable Planets
>inb4 hip hop bad
tax exemptions
what teh fuck is the point of forcing yourself to like something
I'd start with John Coltrane - A Love Supreme
What's the point of getting into a new genre? are you retarded?
When I wasn't into jazz whatsoever I decided to just try out some albums to try to get into it; the album that I think pulled me in the most was the album this song is from:

The fuck is your problem? OP is simply asking for good entry-level jazz albums. Fuck this board.
