>band good
>band become successful
>band bad
This mindset is what is holding music back.

>band always good because its cynical to not like it
This mindset is what is killing music

no, not really

KISS

The best punk bands had the sense to abandon punk and mature artistically.

>band suddenly not good because they're popular
This attitude is why music is so fucking turbulent, trend-focused and generally awful now.

im all lost in a supermarket
I can no longer shop happily

Kiss was made to sell

>muh punk
Punk rockers in the UK
They won't notice anyway
They're all too busy fighting
For a good place under the lighting

>that get
Proof that anti-communism is the work of Satan

Kiss never had anything authentic to sell out. It's in their DNA.

Actually The Who are even bigger sellouts. Were they ever not corporate rock to the core?

Is this a joke?

The Who is the definition of radio friendly corporock for marketing heads to blast in their BMWs on the way to work.

I literally laughed out loud, it doesn't matter how much the clash sold out, nobody will ever be as much of a sellout cuck as this beta

>band gets lazy and believes the hype once they get a taste of success
Many such cases, people endlessly supporting shit out of loyalty is why so much music is mediocre now

New bands have a shelf life of about 2 weeks now because modern music culture is just trend hopping and listening to whatever shit artist your favorite streaming service is pushing that day.

Maybe these new artists and bands should make more consistently interesting music then. No more free rides after making one shitty hit, if you want to be in the limelight, work for it

The Clash weren’t even close to being one of the best punk bands

They literally became more experimental as they released more music, if you think they sold out you just didn't listen to the music
you don't know what selling out means

SoundCloud mumble rap, shitty generic hip hop and garbage normiecore indie trash is not consistently interesting music. No band was ever given a free ride because they happened to make a chart topper, unless you count the royalties.

oh fuck off, their dub and disco records are FAR better than their """""""""genuine"""""" shit. All they did was improve their tastes

god, I fucking hate the clash

pleb

damn......

guys...

U2 is literally the sell out clash.

So yes, U2 cucked the clash.

big audio dynamite also fucking rules. i dont think the clash got that much worse, they just got the money they needed to make the shit they wanted

All other members of BF are dying of hunger except Greg who jewed everyone out and Henry because he was smart enough to realize that selling out was the only way he could survive

I consider them more of an example of signing a horrid record deal and screwing themselves over early

Great debut (import and domestic), LC great lp, kicked it live even when their touring album sucked, but totally lost me playing US festival for a million bucks. I wanted to beat strummers skull w that guitar he was wearing while he said how happy they were to take wozs money. Not a big loss that he kicked it so young, frankly

>The Who didn't sell out
did you even listen to their third album?

true.

More recently though, Gesa is the current era sellout king.
