Christian music

Made a little chart of some of my favourite Christian music, most of which I grew up on. What are your favourite Christian songs and artists?

you should try listening to religious music that isn't just Christian, lots of good stuff out there

"Paavoharju was a Finnish musical collective of ascetic Christians formed around two brothers"

Do yourself a favor...

Not a single word of christianity on the finnish wiki about them.

John Fahey, Horde, Cliff Richard

Back when I lived with my parents, Christian music was pretty much all I had to listen to. Petra, Whiteheart, Michael W. Smith, that sort of thing. I managed to get enough wiggle room to score some metal and hip-hop through that vector, though. DC Talk, SFC, PID, bands like Tourniquet, Brainchild, Living Sacrifice, One Bad Pig. It was a pretty diverse collection despite it all being Christian.

But honestly,

great album

>Paavoharju
Yep, this is based.

Good thread.
The Texas Jerusalem Crossroads is a top 5 album for me. I also think At Folsom Prison is a good Christian album as well as Spiritualized at Royal Albert Hall, Hosianna Mantra and Le Mystere des Voix Bulgares
Good songs:
Every Grain of Sand (Emmylou Harris version)
Where Could I Go But to the Lord (Elvis version)
How Can I Keep From Singing (Enya Version)

bump

Brainchild and Argyle Park were great

Why was Trouble so based?

Nice! Great blues but I still like the bluesy rock songs too.

Might be my favorite Christian metal band of the last decade or so.
Deliverance is still my all-time favorite though.

This is basically what would have happened if Elvis survived Vegas and went on to make Christian music in the 80s.
