there was a study in the uk that said once you get to around 35 you got to start letting it go. this more more about clubbing but I think things would overlap.

I saw Slowdive last year, and half the people at the gig were couples in their late 40s who were probably fans of the band during their teens. You're never too old for shows.

Is it a local band who's been around and the audience is all your age? Or is it a band comprised of teenagers with a crowd even younger, in which case, wtf are you doing there?

I'd say you shouldnt be more than 10-15 older than those performing, unless they're playing at a place that sells alcohol, then who fucking cares? Adults are adults

I mean I don't know, college kids like shit music. I live in an area where there are local metal and punk bands who've been around for decades, and the shows are primarily all adults.

there's a lot of bands here dude, there's a pretty vibrant music scene of what seems to be all ages. i want to start going to shows and being around others again. just feel im getting older (I am, but that's not really the point) and have missed out of that part in my life.

So just go to age appropriate shows....go to shows at places that serve alcohol and where the audience is mostly adult
