Despite the large variety of strange, borderline useless hipster faggot pedals I own, this is still my favorite. My goto distortion anytime of the week.

Definitely the best looper they put out. That baby was my best friend at solo gigs. Good taste, man.

I have the reverb sister to this pedal. I’m usually not a fan of multi-effects units (I prefer being able to stack effects, rather than having an all contained in one box solution) but holy shit it’s good.

Crowther Hotcake, great overdrive pedal for the AC30

Attached: hotcake.jpg (474x474, 19K)

I really like how this thing can be put at a setting where the force you pick with can make it distort when played with force but leave it clean when played lightly. Really good for stuff like Velvet Underground songs.

Love this pedal like you wouldn't believe.

Rat2 is the only pedal I own.

Yoo hows that holy mountain? I’ve got a fuzzlord drone master and a blackhawk Valhalla but I’m still deep in the rabbit hole of finding the perfect stoner doom set up for me

Smallsound/bigsound mini is maybe the GOAT drive for me. Functions exceptionally everywhere from clean boost to multiple flavors of fuzz and with a powerful eq and Fuck tons of volume

Anybody know how the simpler wooden versions compare?

MASF Raptio is the best pedal ever made.

Yea Forums needs more gear discussion. Guitar general is to full of piss babies asking who want to be told they need to try harder if they want to improve. I just wunna talk aboot pedal.

Love it. It's my amp basically, since I run my board into a Focusrite. Loud as fuck and compliments my other drives really well.
I found mine at a local store for a good price, but I wouldn't pay the prices people are asking for on reverb (Almost 400). If you can find one, then great, but if you want an Orange style preamp the Dunwich DA120 and EQD Monarch would be much easier to find.

These just went on sale for 75 new and I was planning on picking one up. What do you use it for?

Same.
Since we have a good thread going, anyone here know of any good delay pedals that have a self oscillation switch? Looking at the AD4096 but wondering if there are any other alternatives.

Give me a rundown on the EQD memes. I have a Transmisser coming in the mail.

Ditto looper desu

Yeah honestly my dick is pretty hard on the da120. Thinking about getting a custom 125b and hopefully 6 fuzzes will be enough for me for awhile.

Maybe not the recommendation you’re looking for since its a multi effect but the delay on the Dr Scientist bitquest is fucked up versatile when you use an expression pedal and it’s pretty easy to set it to infinite delay with your foot based on the where the knob for delay time is.

fuck yeah that and a big muff

also one vote for the Ibanez tube screamer

Based

what does it do

Sounds like a less autistic but also less interesting Count to Five

lol why would anyone drop 200$ for this?

are they high?

If most musicians actually added up the amount they blow on drinks and drugs every month they wouldn’t blink twice at spending 200 on something they could potentially use for years and resell

this one obviously

Attached: Blame-shifter-Boss-pedal.jpg (518x800, 47K)

>tfw i have never once paid for weed
>thats a lie and i threw 5 dollars on a scythe with my bois but that's about it

The one where I buy a Audio Interface for the price of one pedal and have unlimited effects at my disposal you absolute dinosaur-sheep hybrids

Got mine in the mail a few weeks ago, i love it so much, came here just to post about this pedal

may as well play a guitar plugin via midi keyboard as well fag.

It’s a piece of garbage and I own several better fuzz/distortion pedals but I love it

Attached: 69FDF360-CEAD-4584-BCB2-F9A0D0367930.jpg (324x522, 85K)

Lol

Spending $200+ on drinks and drugs a month is infinitely more entertaining than buying a shitty pedal that you'll use once and then never use again/resell at a loss once you realise that it has no real musical application. At least with narcotics you'll actually get some good memories that you can reminisce on. People who blow their money on useless pedals like these deserve to be shot.

this and boss digi delay

i have an rc30 but yeah
honestly such a huge writing tool for me

Attached: walrus.jpg (225x225, 12K)

Lol u wildin’ senpai. Ur looking for 420chan. Anybody spending 200 on a pedal can only blame themself if they can’t find a Fucking application for it. Creativity is hard when your guitar sounds weird I know it’s ok baby

Additionally if you’re not a fuckwit you buy used and sell at a gain or trade for something more practical if you can’t handle playing a new pedal without being fucked up

Nobody will listen to your shitty noise/glitch/drone/sound collage/whatever the fuck project on Bandcamp, user. You're not being "creative", you're being a self-indulgent wanker.

Rc-30 is so dope. Big game changer for me learning writing.

Serious question, is there anything that could replace this ? Obviously I'd need at least one foot pedal, but that plus an interface probably isn't as expensive as the pedal.

Mmmm that sweet (you). 90% of the time I’m playing clean n pristine with a strong pop song writing sensibility. I’m also not worried about fucking peons who can’t handle funny noises tho so when I whip out my glitch drone noise shit I do it with a robust and sensual competence that leads to thunderous applause and simultaneous orgasm from everyone in earshot.

anything with more than 4 knobs is for people who don't want to practice guitar

Do you play for an audience ever?

quick rundown? looks like it just plays back recordings. which is what a DAW does on a basic level.

That sure explains this currently brimming with knobs thread. Haha just kidding.

DEATH GRIPS PEDAL

Press left pedal to start recording, play something, press left pedal to stop recording, pedal loops what you just played until you press the right pedal to stop it. While the loop is playing you can record over it by pressing the left pedal.

Lol did you also see them tonight?? Shit was awesome. This is the best looper I’ve used

Attached: 1CECA07F-5B90-4D8C-B6FD-5FEE2BEDEAEC.jpg (1222x744, 430K)

You can’t operate a daw while performing for a crowd with a guitar in your hands I don’t think. Not being facetious I genuinely don’t know. + it saves loops for future use blah blah blah you can turn it on and off while still playing blah

Dispatch Master is cool

you can. but it's going to be awkward with a laptop instead of pedals, of course. There are pedals made for use with DAWs that can edit all parameters though I've never used one and cant comment much on that.
This essentially descibres a DAW, like Ableton, in it's simplest form

if you guys are interested and have a Audio Interface, you should pirate Ableton and any VST's. GuitarRig would probably work to get started with amps and effects modeled after real pedals, and Ableton has enough great effects build in to get started

It’s the 21st century use logic imbeciles. I AM NOT A ROBOT SO FUCK YALL

To all the buttholes posting fuzz pedals - it took me a long time to realize they basically suck in a band/live situation, and i'm just gonna tell it like it is. fuzz guitar sound is too fractured to be big, and I see rock bands all the time that can play and have good songs/vocals but their guitarist is some jewfro rich kid with a bunch of 100 knob fuzzes and his shit sounds like a sega game gear through a megaphone and it just ruins the whole band. the bass player is outshining you. you aren't going to pull off your basement crafted siamese dream sound live. . i hope someone spills craft beer on your 1000 dollar boutique mobafire build rig ya queers

Damn u actually really got me. Been working out the logistics of boutique sludge fuzz for live performance and it just seems like super bass driven overdrive is far more appropriate to get the desired booming drone effect in a full band context.

Attached: 48A1AD8D-6977-489D-8FE7-99930FAA6FAC.jpg (800x600, 156K)

I unironically love the Rainbow Machine

Attached: cztkeeusii4kyw2fh9mi.jpg (800x800, 72K)

gonk gang

This pedal is really like a Count to Five kinda deal, you look at it and hear how fucking nuts it is, then you try to actually think of ways to use it and you’re kinda stuck.

fuzzes do disappear in a live band mix. however! you can put a eq before a fuzz pedal to push mids or use a mids based distortion/ overdrive (tube screamer) to really make it stand out a bit

Attached: Boss CE-2.jpg (640x501, 68K)

Attached: based.jpg (750x750, 71K)

Have you ever touched a woman?

i use ableton heavy and use it to record everything but live there's a fluidity that comes with pedals that is really really hard to reproduce with a DAW
it's possible for sure but the value in pedals is how easy and streamlined they are, which is honestly key sometimes for getting ideas out

How's your AC/DC cover band coming along?

Julia gets my vote

Objectively the best fuzz that doesn't take up half a board.

No, and I don't really intend to

I just realized a compressor is one of the few things my board is missing. Recommendations?

>Too rare
Enjoy your hiss

>He doesn't just use an isolated power supply like a grown up.

My most favourite and most loathed pedal.
It takes real wizardry fight this cock.

Walrus Audio Deep Six or Julia

I read the name as "Judden" from the thumbnail.

Attached: 1547700435951_.jpg (233x236, 16K)

I find this pedal annoying as fuck on my AC30.

The walrus deep six, tc electronic hypergravity, mxr studio comp if you have the money, seymour duncan vise grip and boss cs 3 are pretty solid

This thing is fucked.

>He doesn't use an axe fx3 with peavey invective like a true djentleman.

walrus audio phoenix

I'm talking noise floor.

Gone. Pure compression.

Yeah i fucked around with a big muff and a dwarfcraft necromancer for years before i realised all i needed was my brown feather ,sounds better and bigger fuzz is overrated

What are some must-haves for bass?

I make shoegazey metal mixed shit.

Gated Fuzz, Overdrive/Distortion, Analog Delay.

It really depends on what you wanna play but these 3 are always on my board.

I've been looking at this one lately. have the nautila and polara and they're both amazing. Pic related is my only delay, which I love, but I need something stereo. Maybe the flashback x4 if not obscura.

Attached: Canyon-large.jpg (491x750, 50K)

and a compressor, eq and octave pedal, very maybe a chorus if your amp has an effects loop.
I'd even remove the analog delay from his list, there's few uses for it in a band context.

I was pretty obviously making a dig at the people who would use trendy gear over tried and true gear like an ac15 or 30.

>gearfagging
no

Attached: THE-DREAMSCAPE_P0CLA_Right_L.png (708x800, 860K)

I like John Petrucci, I don't like when he makes gear he doesn't even use to sell to kids :(.

Eh I just used it because I wanted that specific sound.

gearfagging is objectively superior to the dramafaggotry in /gg/. almost everything is.

has anyone else got one of these? best chorus pedal ive heard desu

Attached: 2B2215E9-39FA-4077-801F-0F2ADA898DA4.jpg (600x600, 124K)

I use this hideous thing for my chorus nowadays. Got it for like 200 so that's cool. Alternatively I just hire an orchestra but that's mostly for when I'm just jamming out at home.

Attached: ModFactor-large.jpg (750x506, 67K)

Pretty new to this. Got the avalanche recently and I haven't touched my canyon since. Thinking about selling it, but idk yet. Want to get a fuzz or chorus pedal next. From this thread, I'll eventually get the rc-30 when I get tired of my boss loop station

Attached: 20190327_015033.jpg (4032x1960, 3.9M)

If i can give one word of advice: get the stuff you actually need to start gigging first, then worry about getting the really out there stuff.

Yea Forums is dramafaggotry in general.
I fucking despise this board.

I hate you too user.

Attached: 1534215379931.gif (400x294, 405K)

Hmmm okay. Any suggestions?

no like this board is the fucking worst in arguments.
>you like x artist? [proceeds to ad hom]
>[make criticism of y artist] wtf separate the art from the artist you retard!!!
it's absolutely insufferable

Attached: 11l4yfk.gif (290x218, 1.03M)

Well you're a bassist I guess going by your comp so I would recommend this and possibly changing the chorus out for something like this for modulation. Maybe also add a volume pedal. I would say those are the absolute essentials. Maybe adding a pre amp pedal if you're intending on going direct into the PA if you're planning on playing live.

/gg/ is worse though, it’s straight up “no YOU’RE the boogeyman!” shitposting

has to be the ones this guy uses youtu.be/xXrKplAsMtk

Maybe look up what rigs session musicians use. Personally Guthrie Govan's rig with Steven Wilson was a big inspiration for mine.

Not aimed at you but at people like the kid in the link you posted: If you're a rich kid you should just quit music, work in daddy's company and leave art to people who have something to say.

God damn kids like that piss me off.

Thanks, but I'm not actually a bassist. I got that comp for free from a friend, and only rarely use for tapping bits. I'm really into post-rock and math rock type stuff, so I had the avalanche in my sights for awhile, so I'm very happy with that so far. I will check out the eventide for modulation, and eventually a volume pedal.

whatever you say, buster, but i've seen this exact thing play out in countless threads so you won't be changing my mind anytime soon

If you own over 5 pedals you don't know how to play guitar
