My post was more of a dig at twain and steinbeck rather than praising kendrick. But since you asked ill give an example of some of his lyrics i find compelling. the first that come to mind are swimming pools which examines the vicious cycle of alcoholism. Keisha's song examines the life of a young prostitute and a lyric i think is actually very profound and original is "Rosa Parks never a factor when she's making ends meet" really emphasizing how one is willing to give up not only their basic dignity in order to make ends meet not to mention all the commentary available on race from that single line.
