If it were up to me for their objective best, it'd be a tie of English Settlement or Black Sea. But then again, that's only comparing to other XTC albums. Compared to the rest of music, every XTC album is 10/10

I'm not sure how controversial this opinion is, but Skylarking was better without Dear God. It's not a bad song as such, but I think Mermaid Smiled and Dying serve it's purpose a lot better.
oh definitely, mermaid is my fav song on the record and i always treat dear god as a bonus
