THIS

A little over 3 years ago I made a bunch of threads here asking who would die last out of David Bowie, Scott Walker, and Nick Cave. Bowie died a month or so after I got board with spamming my shit threads and now Scott is gone. So I guess Nick Cave has won
Truly Nick's spirit has also won now that he has repented for his sins and living a life true to god. Can't say the same for walker who was a notorious homosexual, he's probably burning down there in hell with that pedophile Bowie.

I'm happy that this talentless hack finally died. Now he can rest with other famous crap makers like Reed, Bowie and Prince and blow each others dicks.

Kill yourself retard, your average pop icon and "experimental" indie musician have been influenced by him and you didn't even know.

Every artist you like owes something to Scott.

That's where you're wrong. I only like Henry cow.

>IT'S REAL
Shit. I usually have something smarmy to say about celebrity deaths. . . . I got nothing. I liked his music.

Bullshit.

damn, rip

Literally who

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE STICKY, MODS? BISH BOSCH IS LITERALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT ALBUM OF THE 21ST CENTURY.

Yea Forums has been long gone boys

F

t. pleb
This movie was kino.

user how are you not in the know of who fucking Scott Walker is?

Is this your first day on Yea Forums?

Damn.. He lived a long life and the impression he left on the entire artistic medium of music will never be forgotten, but it still sucks to hear a legend has died.

half of this board probably doesn't even know who scott walker is.

this place fucking sucks, people only wanna talk about flavor of the month female pop stars or brag about how few ratings the artists in their 5 star section on rateyourmusic have.

Scott Walker was essentially a clout martyr.

Everyone is claiming this was a random robbery, but it's clear what was actually happening: his killers were driven to take his life solely for the sake of clout. They wanted infamy of their own and found it in gunning down a 76-year old.

As Scott was taking his final breath, he was surrounded by kids taking video and pictures of him. Why? For clout. No one was taking his pulse, no one was calling 911, everyone was standing around with their phones out as his body was clinging to life.

The moral lesson of Walker's life story should be a cautionary tale of the horrors of social media and how it's fucked our society beyond belief.

RIP Scott. See you in Heaven.

how in the fuck
what killed him?

what an absolute legend, rip unironically

This. Also music was very good, Scott was very talented at rendering very atmospheric and haunting soundtracks, he could continue making interesting sounds in the mainstream cinema...

NO ONE likes Henry Cow

i've heard his solo stuff and nite flights. is any other walker brothers stuff worth listening to?

He's been making music since the 60s, he was pretty old

>tfw ornette, cecil taylor, and scott walker don't get stickies but people like mac miller do
why must life be unfair

Walker was quite the catalyst for me treading into more abstract, experimental waters of music. Listening to "Jesse" for the first time was an incredible revelation of what music was truly capable of accomplishing. Prior to that, I'd never really heard anything that conjured such palpable feelings of terror. Despite this, however, there's still an unwavering sense of beauty in his music, however caliginous it may be. I think "Farmer in the City" is a perfect illustration of this. Mr. Walker demonstrated to me that there was entire new world of music for me to explore. An astonishing one at that. R.I.P. Truly an exceptionally talented individual and an enormous inspiration.

F

So sad bros. Scott Walker was such an inspiration for me, I remember passing so many winters miserable with his vision of the world, modernist, European, intellectual, beautiful, offering some sort of hope from American banality. In a way he helped make me who I am today. Sorry this is really pretentious but true.

I have had the chance to meet and have conversations and even befriend many of my musical heroes but I've never even had the chance to see Scott in person. An incredible person I imagine, kicking myself for not going to the Scott Walker Prom. Really so much of my aesthetic tastes are based from my first exposure, these first aesthetic experiences as a teenager, thanks to his music... how else would a 19 year old in the countryside find out about the Seventh Seal?

sad bros but we just gotta keep our heads up and not get caught up in the realness of how shit the culture industry and everything is nowadays
