I'm assuing you're talking about American Football? No i listen through lp1 for the first time, which is way too late since i love Math Rock, but i should probably check out lp3 soon as well

yesterday someone recommended me Tartar Lamb - Sixty Metonymies, I thought it was okay, i enjoyed the atmosphere, but think i prefer more structure with that kind of instrumentation, but it did grow on me as the album went on.

and Hong Kong Express - HK, this one I enjoyed a bit more on first listen, nice night time listening atmosphere, but not much else to say after one listen.

for the life of me

i cannot remember

fuck i havent seen la dispute on a chart in forever... how's the new stuff? i was a big fan in high school but kinda stopped listening after rooms of the house

It's great. It's a lot darker than ROTH was, but the vocals are mixed REALLY low, especially when he's yelling. I couldn't stand it at first but eventually I got used to it and I like it a lot now. Instrumentals are better than they've ever been. I'd say it's only very slightly better than ROTH because it seems more focused, and on par with Wildlife.

cool, i'll check it out. i couldnt stand how much more toned down roth was, the main reason i liked sitbotr and their earlier stuff was the crazy energy.

I'll be honest, I don't really like sitbotr. But I get where you're coming from, I hated ROTH at first, but eventually I found that the overall toned down nature of it made the more energetic parts more explosive, and built on the bands overall mastery of building tension. I kinda feel like the vocals being mixed lower in this one has the opposite effect, but the instruments make up for it

Yea Forums janny
