Would love to hear your comments/critique of this; will try to give as much as I can now! Would like to thank all of you who had DL'd and heard my music recently! Appreciate any listen over these past couple of days!
Also - would you ever read musician's opinion on certain aspect of creating/making/divagations about music on social media? Thanks for all the answers to that! :)
The main "vocal line" seems weird on this track, I don't know but it puts me off a little.
I would love this track if it hadn't such a forward focus on the rhythm section - would love it to hear the whole drum sample section a bit more subdue in the mix. But I like what I'm hearing :)
A beaut. Though I don't know about the cover art - doesn't fit well to the sounds I'm hearing :D
>sick keyboard solo wasn't lying, also just solid song writing and good singing This is good, why's the track private though?
New album, our last one, but easily our best one too >jangle pop >artsy indie/alt rock >For fans of Cap'n Jazz, Beat Happening, and Sebadoh? I don't know what we sound like would love some comparisons from anyone popspirit.bandcamp.com/album/brighter-plan
It's a fine little indie record and a good way to close this chapter of the musical journey, opening a new one :)

This is smooth, i cant tell what youre saying (I think it’s mostly German) but it sounds reall good. >prod. Yaya Nice It’s cool how the whole track is whispering (not just the vocals) “That’s me weed, miss” love that part This is impressive! There’s a lot going on in here and it’s all funky. This is pretty wild, a lot of ideas from different styles and theyre put together just right. I love how weird this is while maintaining it’s listenability and identity as a song (as opposed to a track) High quality recording, everything sounds great and balanced. Your voice is nice and confident. You really get those wild noises. I’d like to know how you do it, but I’m not gonna pry This is awesome man, do you do it all yourself? It sounds really well made. That slow-attack noise, idk it gives me a ‘put this on the radio’ feeling. Something very current. Your tracks area all very long so they wont fit in this lightning review, but I skipped around and it sounds pleasant so I’m probably gonna go back and relax with this after I get through this thread. (re:your feedback to me... you’re right about the vocals on that track, there’s something weird about the tuning but i’ve grown to like it this way and have moved on to other tracks) Youre a real one, adam w. I dig this. Keep it up! Hey you guys rock! It’s sad that your band is over now (from the text on your page), this is really good. but at least you have this to show for it. Very heavy user! I’m no critic for this stuff, but what I hear is some rock instrumentation just goin hard af and what’s probably a literal goblin just growling his lungs out. Damn that goblin is killing it. More than your avg chillhop track, this was a funny lil walk down a cozy dirt road on a warm day
It’s me, dvd

here, yeah, i do it all myself (singing included). i've been producing for around 10 years and i've spent a very (very) long time searching for a genre or style that i've felt at home in, and i've definitely found it with this weird style of electronic pop. i'm glad you like it.
Kevin Williams
Thanks DVD user, hoping my works will help you relax in some capacity :)

Thanks DVD user! I try not to share it with anyone, but its something I really enjoyed making. Go raibh maith agat!

Thanks! It was fun to make that kind of music from 2012-2019, there's literally about 150 songs released under the Larksburg name, seriously. But I'm happy to already be working on new music with a different sound. >Hey you guys rock! It’s sad that your band is over now (from the text on your page), this is really good. but at least you have this to show for it. Thank you, it's not too sad though because it's our best album for sure so it feels good to go out on it. When I was writing the songs for it I do remember actively trying to write the most accessible thing possible and I ended up writing a bunch of songs that I was really proud of as a result. If you go back and listen to our previous albums they sound nothing like the latest one and none of them sound anything like each other either. Having a more focused approach on Brighter Plan was the way to go for sure.
I know you already realize the vocals are a bit off but that’s my only complaint really, try to add some more energy to the singing, more passion ya feel
> bouncy guitar pop > kind of weird > been listening to a lot of bob dylan, ROSALÍA, frank ocean
instrumental is awesome. i love the way the guitar sounds through that mic you're using. sounds like vietcong. the drums are really really tight and mixed well to complement the guitars. i didn't like the vocals too much.. could use some reverb or echo to give them a bit more depth. good songwriting.
kind of reminds me of the pixies and parquet courts and dave matthews band. cool 90s DIY sound. very professional sounding mix which is cool to see in these threads. i liked the vocals on I Think You're A Beam Of Light. very dramatic.
i liked this. very spacey and chill but also more creative than i expected. some cool choices in sound palette.
super sad core that made me want to cry a little bit but it was nice. like an ultra-dreary and final fantasy OST infused james blake / james vincent mcmorrow. it actually kind of sounds like ANCO's spirit they've gone spirit they've vanished too. pretty cool man.
>kind of reminds me of the pixies and parquet courts and dave matthews band. cool 90s DIY sound. I see, cool comparisons. >very professional sounding mix which is cool to see in these threads. Yeah that's all on the bass player, she's wild. >i liked the vocals on I Think You're A Beam Of Light. very dramatic. Thanks lol that's more or less been my vocal style for the last few years.
>nice songwriting and production, cool new wave vibes thank youuu >Yo bro this shit is tight as fuck, I love the mixing and the style of the vocals. Been a long ass time since I heard some good rock music desu thanks :O
vaporwave/pierre bourne inspired beat with a gucci mane acapella on top. Thinking about making a whole mixtape of these gucci mane remixes.
please only respond if you like playboi carti's music (im not trying to convert anyone to liking hip hop)

Your work is consistently impressive and continues to improve dramatically in quality. Well done as always!

Gorgeous atmospheres here. It's so easy to slow down some sounds and call it ambient or whatever, but you clearly have a knack for interesting and inviting sound design
Zachary Garcia
quit masturbating and make an actual song (structure and a beat)
soundscapes are for pussies with talent (ie can make a song, but are too afraid to try)

Real nice, do you not got a bandcamp where one can purchase your stuff?
Ethan Wood
>Nice man, you got the lyrics for that first one? Seed
found it in filth germinating still coming back around sprouting from the tender ground bitter fruit of the soil wrap it up in aluminum foil got dirt on my hand lay down and work the land planting the seed and taking only what you need tearing down the cairns and bring the rocks back to the barn found it in filth
Ian Harris
Reminds me quite a bit of Flying Lotus or even early heRobust
Kevin Torres
>tearing down the cairns >and bring the rocks back to the barn Real cool, I will purchase the album
I’ve seen such gold places that you wouldn’t leave, wouldn’t find them anywhere but here… but I guess you’re so intelligent - - what do you know? Did you know something? I know that I don’t want to know, oh Michael.
What did they do wrong? Did they know that you had to go, to do it all. But I know you’re so serious Michael, but I guess I didn’t know you at all.
You don’t have to be sorry, because they’re not sorry at all. I don’t know why they don’t care. When they saw you that morning Michael, they thought ‘well, he was so serious, I guess it had to be, huh?’. That’s what they’ll say.
Because he was always so serious, and he’s so damn smart. Michael, they don’t care. But I wish I had. If I’d known you were there. If I’d known that you needed something, well if something could have been me.
But you’re so damn serious, Michael. And you’re so damn gone, now I know why you were here. Because you were so damn beautiful, I’m all around you now, so beautiful, so damn Michael.
If you listen to other tracks of mine you'll surely recognize structures and beats. My main interest in electronic music is to explore sound and its possibilities, but I'm actually very open.
