what counts as low effort shit?

Album name and band name are to be determined but those can be discussed by anyone if someone comes up with a good idea
Nah man as long as it fits atleast a bit with the dew songs we have, they're a bit more folky but we also have some more experimental stuff so funeral doom could fit
going into ableton and making meme music or speeding up a random song, ear rape noice etc

One more thing OP, somehow I can't hear anything on instaudio so I can get the idea of what I need to make

I could do semen-stained diary.
I don't have an endless amount of time right now, so i was reluctant to pick a song yesterday, but since they're still open, i might as well.
I'm picturing it as a gritty, punchy, lustfilled song. Maybe some loose and dirty drums and some wet slapping synths. Almost like you can picture the load hitting the page.
I don't have access to much instrumentwise, other than maybe going line in with bass, otherwise it will be all digital, probably in ableton, and then i might ask for help to replace some parts when I feel like it's going in the right direction.
How does that sound?

hey guys, it's me your eurofriend in charge of in the concentration camp over the wall. i'm back (and sober) and going to do some mixing. i dont really have adequate equipment for it (i dont have monitors so...) but i'm gonna do my best.

if there's another song that you guys want me to tackle ( i see the list here, democracy is just communist's daughter sounds pretty cool) i could get started but i have to move all my shit to another apartment (where it will be easier to work) so it'll take me a few hours.

I am eternally grateful for the fact that I have a friend who lives near me who is willing to come over to my place and record drums when I need him. Few things feel better than finally having drums beneath the tracks you've been working on for monrths, actually grounding them.

I want to add drums at the end, like a blastbeat that goes with the crescendo until it stops at a climax (could any drumanons record that?) which I will then strum out a power chord to transition into the "solo part"

I have an acoustic guitar, bass, and keyboard. And some recording software.

Song idea and song name already in mind.

Is there a certain sound stylistically, or tonal center I should be aware of?

I forgot to mention that it also samples Jeff Mangum singing "chriiiiiiiiii" to fit with the ITAOTS allusions

3.) do you have a potential track listing for this album already set up?

Because ideally I’d like to know the song before and after mine, because I like for songs to flow from one to the next

1 Well Apart from "Anne Frank saves us" there isn't necesairly a theme but beware that this is at it's core a democratic project so if you make something and people are not into it it can be cut out so you can hear some of the links posted and see if yours is atleast in the same ballpark as that

this is about as as good as it's gonna get for me, i'm mixing in headphones/laptop speakers lmao but i tested it on my bose bluetooth speakers and it sounded all right. if anyone else can see if the mix sounds ok on their system, that'd be great.

also, if you do drums or can record drums, please let me know. i was fairly on time (i can only see maybe once or twice that i spill into another measure) so i dont think it'd be too much of a hassle to record (besides, it's nice and slow)

These are really great user, I think the user that did The Concentration camp said he was gonna do democracy and another user is doing the last track but he hasn't updated yet irc, so unless osme user adds this to their track I don't know where to fit it.

It's a good idea I like it sounds kinda like sheep era Robert Wyatt but i think it'd be hard to use it as a base because the recording quality isn't really stellar, but if any user out there is good at mixing and thinks they can make it work I'd love to hear it

yep, we're working on semen stained dairy. As far as I'm concerned the only thing done is this very rough sketch of me improvising so basically it's open for everyone and anyone to play around with.

Yes tha name has been used tons of times on mu albums, and we're trying to make something witha bit more substance than those so having a memey name (that's been used before) will probably discourage people from giving it a chance as they'll just say "oh it's another of those albums ful of sped up all star", also we clearly have a theme for the album so having a completely unrelated joke would be retarded, it certainly is overplayed considering it's been used before and we're trying to bring a bit more creativity into these than usual and it's generic because it's a title that'd work on any album made by Yea Forums, it says nothing about our project
