This pretentious cracker is my favorite youtuber. He is so pretentious but I never cringe because he never says anything wrong. I think he's pretty based and he also shat on bitchfork in one of his videos which makes me respect him more

Too bad his music is not very good at all so it's hard to take him seriously.
I thought he's more of a session/big band musician
>implying that you need to be good at making music to understand music
oh nonono
link?
That would certainly follow
OBSESSED
He's a mainly a musician, not a composer.
It's a shame he knows theory so well and his music sucks, which causes people to think theory is not only unnecessary but a hindrance. They don't realize the reason his music is shit is because he has autism or some emotional disorder.
If you're not wrong, then you're not pretentious. What is the pretense if they're not pretending?
This guy is pretentious though because he does get (some) things wrong
don't remember, somewhere here

I respect Adam a lot, he has plenty of great advice and wisdom for the budding musician on his channel. Even though I still like his music, I think there’s better out there than him when it comes to being a bassist and a composer (Sam Wilkes absolutely bodies him in both categories).
But it doesn't. The Williams sisters' father couldn't play tennis for shit. Why do you think "can't do, teach" is a common expression?
Somebody post that video of him failing to hang on a goddamn blues to dispel this notion that he is a good musician
Wrong.
isn't that from the time he got high as shit before a gig and then made an entire video like "hey, don't do drugs before gigs because it'll make it really hard to play properly"
He's probably the best music theory-related youtuber. Just right amount of memes and great production values of the videos.
>being unable to perform in the area you profess to excellence in does not evince a fundamental weakness of understanding
>specialisation evinces groundedness and rigor and not a defeatist attitude towards one’s own failings (“shit I’m crap at music, I guess I better get into teaching, yeah I’m too good for that pipe dream shit time to get dour and pragmatic and cling to the scruples of autistically scrutinising the shit those flouncy self taught faggots make to show how down to earth I am while also still looking really smart”)
>idolizing an alcoholic
Get some help user.
>he also shat on bitchfork in one of his videos
Which one?
There's been plenty of great accomplished alcoholics, it's not their addiction we're idolizing.
didn't he say he doesn't drink anymore
>having a favorite youtuber
Go back there and stay there
Shut it fatboy
Pretty disappointed to learn this desu. He seems so clean cut and square. I thought only tormented talented jazz musicians were alcoholics.
Neely's enthusiastic autism is insufferable but he has a good looking visage (mirin but no homo)

i don't know, i thought this was pretty fucking good. i find him hard to bare sometimes but he's fucking talented and always has something useful to say
Source for Neely's alcohol problem?
Probably abused by his parents
