My best production and compositional work to date
>experimental/avant-garde Jazz-ish
>with vocals and lyrics (clean vocals start around 6:25)
>first half chaotic/dissonant, second half (around 6:00) contains drums, is more melodic, somewhat brighter, with a kinda anthemic finish
>features fellow creator Vlürch as a guest vocalist in first half
>prominent, heavily-effected bandura
>first time I’ve actually committed to playing my trombone on record
>field recordings
This is the first single from Every Day Is Another Step Around the Fire

i fw your beats they sound tight, we should collab if you're down lmk
This is a weird but effective mix, to be quite honest. I can see where's the jazz-ish part in this, but I also see a lot of different influences catching up there and it's quite awesome. Two parts works pretty well together imho and I feel the final release will be stellar. My only gripe, if one would want to see any fault in this, is that you're trying to crank up too much stuff in these twelve minutes. Too many ideas in one basket usually, if history wants to teach us anything, means that it results in a very uneven and chaotic full length releases. I would not like to see this scenario unveil in this instance. I hope to get my personal opinion on that LP soon. Keep up the good work!
Very basic if not a little bit uninspired (sounds like any electronica to a third-wave post-rock release) but, for me, a very efficient way of making a very pleasant and beautiful track. I do indeed love very minimalist approaches to music so this suits me well. My problems with it are only my own, due to the nature of your music I can't quite click myself to fully embrace it (I'm against any rhythm in an ambient-like tracks) but shoutouts to Andrea for adding a very nice notes to this track. Hope to hear more from you soon!
Love me some piano music! It really suits the slow and mellow late evening down here. The only complain - try to raise the volume of the vocals next time. They are barely distinguishable in the mix and I can't understand what you're on about. If you want to add vocals, don't shy away from that! I really like the part around 1:30 where the voice is very well mixed with the rest - the long vocalized notes suits that part, but at the beginning - I can't make out anything :D But hey, that's my only opinion, would def love this track without the vocals but either way - great stuff!

A very interesting pice. In some point of the song it feels like Machine gun, in concept. Is almost touchable the effort on the piece. Keep your work.

hey this is sick guys, like the Beatles by way of ariel pink (far better vocals though), time seems to sit still while listening to it
reminds me of slug Christ a little, I really dig the organ-like bars in the back
very arresting second half, it’s lacking bass presence, I think some sparse kicks or a bassline would be p cool

was about to close the tab, then the second half started. it works with the style of the song but I can't listen to it in its entirety. Other than that, what equipment are you using for your field recordings?
What are you using the sample the piano? would like to try it out one day.
liked it. Gotta ask: why pan the tambourine to the left?
a follow from me! like how minimal it sounds.

The field recordings I collaged for that particular track were recorded with my phone, because at the time I did this track's instrumental I didn't have a field recorder, though I now work with a DR-44WL tascam

Reccs:
The gliding bass is done very nicely! I really like how you incorporated some outdoor soundscapes into the mix as well.
Another good bass-heavy track. The flows are also really catchy.
Mellow vibe WIP.
