Found out I have stage 3 stomach cancer yesterday

I work in a hospital and am around cancer patients a lot. Surround yourself with family and friends. Be around them and try your hardest to stay positive and optimistic. Prayer helps. If you're not religious, try meditating. This is just as much of a mental battle as it is a physical one. Don't give up hope. I'll be praying for you and your family tonight.

You actually have pretty good odds (all things considered). If it hasn't spread past the stomach there's a 68% chance to live 5+ years, if it's spread to surrounding tissues then it's still 31% for 5+ years. Could be worse, pancreatic cancer at the same stages is 5% / 3% with the same conditions.

I had an infected tooth for around half-year. I guess I'm lucky it didn't fuck my shit up beyond just losing the tooth, but it wasn't a comfortable experience, not at all.
Go to a dentist if you can. When I finally got to the dentist they pulled it and prescribed me antibiotics.
