I’m not really a lyrics person and I still love it.
Great melodies, great instrumentation and compositions, incredible and emotional vocal performances. The great lyrics are icing on the cake.

i dont give a fuck about lyrics and i love this album

I feel bad for lyricfags because they have shit taste in both music and poetry most of them time

OP are you gonna start or no?

Bad taste

If an album has great lyrics, but not great music, it's not a good album.

>Being this pleb

Based. I agree. The lyrics add to it but the draw is the sound and music

factually incorrect

i'm not a lyrics person but the powers that b as a whole is my fav dg album. admittedly jenny death is more of a fav than this but still.

I LOVE YOU JEEEEUS CHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIST

>Albums that can't be appreciated unless you're a lyric person

literally the wrong reason to like it

Congrats, you made yourself look like the biggest asshat on the fucking internet by trying to prove that an album isn't lyrical by taking one line out of context.

The instrumentation is just way better then the lyrics

Any Bob Dylan album, Benji, and A Crow Looked At Me.

Most Current 93 probably

I NEED TO TASTE YOUR VOICE IN MY MOUTH

JESUS CHRIST I LOVE YOU, YES I DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

wrong

At that point, it would be better if it was just spoken word.
Philosophy of the World would not be elevated as much if the Shaggs were excellent songwriters, than if they were excellent at composing.
The record would still be unlistenable if it had great lyrics, but would be way more tolerable with better instrumentals.
You're absolutely retarded if you believe otherwise.

this is probably not the right thread but:
>go to his concert around 2016 denmark idk
>scream "play potato eyes" to him
>he ask the hipster crowd "who said that?"
>they all point at me
>he asks how do you know that?
i give him the finger guns and drink myself to a stupor while hiding in the crowd
i knew it through some gay old elephant 6 forum.
its a song from some old demo album, but i got the masters attention i guess

actual non-meme answer

But Untitled is the best song of the album and that doesn't have any lyrics.
