i was listening to it earlier today and i thought it was cool.
honestly i fucking love bandcamp as a platform.
Found this guy "James Bond" while looking for a different album called Live and Let Live. Listened to it based on the terrible cover art, and was genuinely surprised with how catchy and well-written it was. So I thought immediately that they must be covers of actual songs, and searched for the originals. As far as I could find, they were not covers, but I found the same songs under the names Derek Clapton, Marty Zucker (also Marty Zucker and the Falcons), and Rod Cocker. They were the exact same recordings under different names, as well as some songs specific to those albums. Can anyone tell me if these are covers? Or what's going on here, because this is kind of odd.
Here's a few of his songs:

As far as I can tell, this guy is writing some pretty catchy and well-down pop rock, and using various aliases associated with other famous things as a ploy to get people to accidentally listen to his music. But please let me know if these are covers of something, that would make a lot more sense.
This but unironically. I'm not sharing good shit with Yea Forums of all people
They’re better live
Any piano ambient with field recordings like From Gardens Where We Feel Secure?
Found this in a share thread m.soundcloud.com
pretty cool
They're not obscure anymore since Mitski mentioned them in her What's In My Bag?
>Passion Immortal- S/t

It’s this 2 hour post rock/plunderphonics album apparently. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I plan to later.
I literally could only fine it because some guy sent it to me. It’s been incredibly hard to find since the artist’s site has shut down.

found this in my YouTube recommendations

I’m going to continue posting this band in every single obscure thread because they’re just that criminally underrated, and broke up never getting past small gigs

Kalx - 10162003
Aitanna77 - Deceptions Hurt
Nophi is a good label
I was just listening to that exact video not but 10 minutes ago. While I'm here I might as well give my secret stash.

Not really obscure, but Ween's demos get a surprising lack of love besides Caesar. Go listen to some of Chocolate And Cheeses demo's, their very similar to shit off of The Pod.

i really love this album, enjoy anons
Mid air thief’s older work, extremely engrossing music

One of the rarest christian records. A fusion of ambient, psych rock and worship music. Insane stuff for the year it was released.
idk how obscure he is but i think he has a decent sound
Terpsichore - Of Congress and Machinery (1997)
Kaleidoscope - Maddie Knight
lmao that is terrible thanks sharing
>not sharing your obscure finds because you don't want anyone else to hear them
cringe
>not sharing your obscure finds because Yea Forums consistently never gives a fair shake to anything they're not familiar with already so what's the fucking point of trying

You know what? Okay. Have another one other than Coconuts.
is this the soundcamp shill thread?
I cant tell if this is good or not
kinda sounds like a cover song or like I've heard a similar song before

I found 2 halfway decent albums after searching like 25-30 pages on BC. Do you have some way of finding better stuff easier or do you just go through all of the shit to find the occasional gem?

Found randomly while browsing RED awhile ago.
not really obscure but
> do you just go through all of the shit to find the occasional gem?

forget where i found this
An unreleased hip hop song from some group that never made it. I think it's pretty damn good.
I posted that exactly for the second thing you mentioned, actually.
yeah there's only so many times you can post a great but relatively unknown album just to get one retard's surface-level bullshit criticism based only on the genre tags before you decide it's not worth it
You nailed it. There was a time where I posted a Sonny Boy Williamson II song and some dumb smartass replied that he knew a guy irl who could play harmonica better... Literally one of the best harmonica players ever can be topped by a literally who living on literally where, but of course... That's when I started browsing this place like if it was yet another meme board, not taking anything seriously.
This is pretty interesting. You wouldn't happen to have a mega with the whole album, user?
Secrets of the Beehive is better
yeah, i know I'm based. Summoning based David Sylvian poster.
Nope. I've been looking. I keep posting it in these threads hoping someone rips it at some point. :(
There's a bunch of people on RYM who allegedly have it but I haven't got around to asking them.

I randomly found these guys through google images when I was looking up Ben Wheele, but I haven't been able to get them outta my head.
Teenage Filmstars is pretty amazing and Barnard's Star seems like it's right up my alley. Thanks for the tips, user
The Osedax
Came across this when it released last year and it wound up being my favorite hip-hop from 2018. Would highly rec. Pretty sure it's pay what you want on Bandcamp. I'm phoneposting atm so i can't tell for sure though.

I found my mom fucking my karate teacher once. he was from mexico
pics of the karate teacher?
Idk I think he might be animating commercials or something. Look up studio ponk. Feels bad knowing it's been over three years since his last upload.
I can't find it anymore, but Horror by Veidt is kind of good, especially if you want a weird mix of nostalgia and horror.
There was a prog band from the early 70's called FELT who made one album then broke up, but that's not why I'm posting them. They made a second album like seven years ago that got completely slept on.
