I'm a middle class tradesman and live in New Orleans. I grew up in rural Mississippi. There was no art in my entire town, at all. I never saw real art, I never saw a real musician, and as the "punk kid" in my class of 109, I listened to the handful of biggest bands. I had to get my parents to drive me 40 minutes one way to the closest c.d. store.

Now I'm literally surrounded by art and music and don't think either my upbringing or adult life is all that unique in regards to my exposure and the general availability of culture.

From everything that's been released so far, the album doesn't seem like it's going to be that impressive, basically run-of-the-mill electronic pop with indie girl vocals.
