I've listened to it upwards of a dozen times, I used to like it in high school but the more I've explored music the more I've realized how truly unadventurous that album (and a lot of stuff from Pink Floyd's "classic" period) truly is. It's just bloodless, lifeless stuff, it sounds like a bunch of dudes standing on stage playing super fucking sloowwww standing completely still but all their fans defend it saying "IT'S SUPER DEEEEPPP MAN, YOU JUST DON'T GET IT DUDE" when literally everything on DSOTM, or most of their other albums for that matter, has about as much philosophical depth as the average high school poetry, on TOP of being just really boring rock music with le ebin musique concrete thrown in for good measure. Give me a break. Idk for my money if music is gonna be as self important as that era of Floyd is, and so hyped up as a work of brilliance, it should be actually somewhat boundary pushing yknow.
