Real shit? I think that Germans have very influential music but it's not very enjoyable to listen to.
All their western classical stuff is long winded as fuck.
All their early electronic stuff doesn't even sound like music.
Krautrock/Kraftwerk both just sound primitive and boring compared to the many amazing artists they influenced.
The Teutonic Thrash guys just played more simplistic not as interesting riffs as behemoths like Metallica/Megadeth.
German style techno took out the cool grooves aspect of the music to focus on just sheer aesthetic which, without the grooves aspect, gets kinda boring to listen to.
Not gonna lie though I LOVE German Power Metal. Blind Guardian, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Edguy, Avantasia, Primal Fear, Running Wild this is some good shit.
