any machine would never be able to make a great piece of art in the musical field because it is programmed in the present and will never be able to think ahead

although now that i think of it this is half true, not sure about in the case of music, but i play dota2 and i remember when the ai bot played against pro players it used the parameters of the game to literally invent new strategies. but that might have to do with a game being built within a field of parameters and it can read the optimal strategy.
but also music doesnt really have a given set of boudaries akin to that.
