listen to kishi bashi's discography

Talk Talk - Spirit Of Eden if you haven't heard it yet

thanks

>Is it happier
Yeah, definitely. All of its songs are performed in somewhat religious manner with an obvious chamber-jazz influence, and one of the songs - I Believe In You - is even dedicated, according to Mark Hollis, to all those people struggling with heroin addiction. Also check out American Analog Set - From Our Living Room To Yours, it's not exactly lifting but quite charming and hypnogogic.

I'll do that

its nice to see that recently hip-hop is being seen as high art

Attached: topsters2 (2).png (2647x1470, 3.02M)

try out Nektar. Similar to Floyd in a specific aspect of long songs and space rock, but a bit more technical

Great taste, but most of your chart is Yea Forumscore or generally classic albums. I think you'll have fun choosing a genre you like and really delving into it and exploring, you've got a great foundation to start
Funkadelic- Maggot Brain
Alabama Shakes- Sound and Color
Hop Along- Get Disowned

Based emoposter
If you haven't checked out Pinegrove's discography I have a feeling you'll be into them. Here's a good starting point:

I haven't heard any of their other stuff. When they came out i was still a young teenager with my dad and we loved listening to it together, somewhat recently i gave it another go and it's just such a wonderful album

try out vitals, have loved it lately

>bałtyk

>Joel's album
Unironically great taste

what's the name of the album to the left of bonito generation and the album to the right of the dance of the moon and the sun?

How do you guys feel about having 2 albums each for 3 artists :/

Attached: topsters2_2.png (2647x1400, 783K)

i tend to feel that on smaller charts like yours it says that you havent explored that much music & youre still at an entrypoint.
on larger charts, having a couple albums by the same artist isnt that bad, esp. if the albums are at different points in the artist's career, but shit like with a fucking Marathon of floyd is really pushing the line. has the same "i dont have a lot of experience with a variety of music" message.

I get that, but I feel like I move through different genres and artists pretty drastically, like just find 2-3 albums, binge the fuck out of it until I can't stand it anymore, then repeat the cycle. How can I break this habit?
Been on Yea Forums since 2012 but only here for Vidya hentai and fashion, haven't been exploring music much until few years ago

keep exploring rather than sticking to those 2-3 albums.
if anyone posts an interesting chart in a thread, i tend to look thru it and pick out albums idont recognize and listen to them.
also going to rym and just going thru the list of a certain genre can be helpful. dont pay attn to the ratings, put it on esoteric or smth. just go through it all.

Thanks for the advice, AP classes got me really busy for the past few months, but will spend more time browsing.
But the thing I don't get, whats the point of browsing for interesting looking albums if the only way you can tell if an album is good is by just listening? I feel like you would miss a lot of nice albums using that method :/

its not a proper correlation but a lot of good albums tend to have good album art to go along with it. musicians, like all artists, tend to be influenced by all forms of art. that visual aspect tends to come out in the album art.

also "interesting looking" also is in the name, the artist name, and any sort of relation to other bands, imo.

glad you like it! I know the guy personally which is how I found out about it, so I can't think of what else to rec sorry

do you have a last.fm or rym for me to check out?
