This album has been totally forgotten.

THEY CALLED ME THE WIIIILLLLD ROOOOOOOSE
art fag bitch gtfo
I have all these on CD. Am I a rockist?
Holy shit this thread is perfect. I was lookin for post 1990 rock stuff to add to my queue. I'm lookin for stuff considered the most popular, hidden gems, etc.
This one is so underrated imo
That's one of his worst albums
This for sure
All of these are based asf
My hope for Yea Forums is restored.

>Literally the first albums you would think of when thinking about """"GOOD"""" rock albums from the 90s
pleb status: filtered
this topic is too goddamn aesthetic
you start
what the fuck is your problem
i would generally agree with this post desu most of these are terrible
You haven't listened to 95% of them you stupid cuck
Give me some actually good rock albums from the 90s then, faggot.
Agreed
nice seeing this album here
This, although I think any of their albums from the 90s would make a strong argument
this one is my favorite
Second album i ever owned on a CD
Just love that close up of that thing, is it a goat or a Llama?
Unironically and even without acknowledging the existence of I Believe I Can Fly. Seal's cover of Fly Like an Eagle is the GOAT
Very good actually
A bona-fide 8.7/10 in terms of shoegaze but Im obviously disregarding how it fits with the 1990's rock
Someone describe the sound of the intro track i got to poop so I'll be right back tobread up on your reply
K thx got to poop
2-inch man was my favorite song
Damn right my nigger
But i like Lucifuge better
Not my favorite these days, but I played the shit out of this CD the summer between middle and high school.
Literally a 9 album
A light 9

It's just a photopgrahy the bass player took. He's the art guy.
I've held pic related one notch above Where You Been
Based. This user knows his grunge
both are good, it's really hard to choose sometimes
Where You Been feels a little weightier because of the way it's produced, I guess
>Well you know Trent Reznor?
>Aiit good
>you know Bowie, The guy who's song was sung by the druggie
>aiit imagine
*sniffs coke off a Somalian hookers ass
>Trent + Bowie
>ik crazy now imagine this, we also add Drum And Bass cause I know you kids like those Chemical Brothers and stuff.
That one album sycophants love.
siamese dream is a perfect album tho

I will always shill pic related on this board because I think it’s the greatest emo-pop album of all time and a gem of the late 90s. Any fan of guitar music should check this out
Totally agree, that's for me the most underated album of the 90s, and one of my favourites ever.
My favorite Christgau review was on "Core."
>Once you learn to tell them from the Stoned Tempo Pirates, the Stolen Pesto Pinenuts, the Gray-Templed Prelates, Temple of the Dog, Pearl Jam, and Wishbone Ash, you may decide they're a halfway decent hard rock act. Unfortunately, sometime after they've set you up with their best power chords, you figure out the title is "Sex Type Thing" because it's attached to a rape threat. They claim this was intended as a critique, kind of like "Naked Sunday"'s sarcastic handshake with authority. But at best that means they should reconceive their aesthetic strategy--critiquewise, irony has no teeth when the will to sexual power still powers your power chords. And if it's merely the excuse MTV fans have reason to suspect, the whole band should catch AIDS and die. B-
horrible year for rock
anyone?
I prefer One Hot Minute
That is incredible! They definitely didn't age well. After posting above, I put Purple on for the first time in years, and . . . yeah, I'm definitely in a different place than I was in 1994.
They didn't age well.
Just another proof Christgau is a hack. Apparently unable to understand lyrics. Naked Sunday is about god and if you don't understand that Sex Type Thing is written from the viewpoint of a date rapist, I'm sorry, you're obviously retarded.
kind of wish they did more albums like this one
OHM doesn't have peak Frusciante
You are legitimately retarded. I could probably name 20 great rock records form 1992 right now.
He understands perfectly well. It's just virtue signalling.
why does he feel the need to bring wishbone ash into this? lol
Hell yeah my guy. No Knife’s discog is incredibly consistent. San Diego really put out some of the best shit of the 90s (No Knife, Drive Like Jehu, Pinback)
Anyone else think Tiny Music is the best STP album?
Tiny Music or Purple, No.4 has some great tracks but its inconsistent as hell.
It's fantastic but I think Core and Purple is better.
I think Purple and Tiny Music have the best singles, I’ve always loved Big Empty and Trippin on a Hole. The way Scott’s voice progressed on each album is really weird and interesting. On Core he just sounds like Eddie Vedder, On Purple he sounds like he has a southern drawl, and then on Tiny Music he lost all of his previous quirks completely. It’s like his voice was a clean slate.

One day im going to hang myself while listening to my own prison on loop god the cringe for the poor soul who finds me.

What the hell did you mean by this
Smashing Pumpkins worship, but nice
Funny thing about this album. When I bought it and played it for the first time I knew almost all the lyrics to Everything Zen and that song felt so incredible familiar, even though the only Bush songs I heard before was Swallowed and the Golden State album.
