~(Gotye) I've had that Gotye album downloaded for ages but haven't got round to listening to it. I loved 'Somebody that I Used to Know' so you get half a point for that at least. Does the rest of the album live up to that?

Not how much Mars Volta stuff you've heard, but Frances The Mute, Amputechture, and Bedlam in Goliath are fantastic.

If you like Magnatron, try listening to Powercyan. He's immensely similar.

Thanks. Ok. I'll rec one of my favourite bands that don't see posted here much at all. Check out The Clean - Anthology. It's pretty much their entire discography but it's all great. Normally I don't start with compilation albums but this was the only download link for the band that I could find when I first tried to get into them.

I’d love to hear your opinion on RHCPs One Hot Minute. Been an RHCP fan for years. Love all their Frusciante stuff, Klinghoffer era is OK, but that one Navarro album’s always stood out to me in a weird way. Just can’t make myself enjoy it
