If Ian wasn't most important how come New Order is shit?
Lombardo > Hanneman > Araya > A literal pile of dog shit that has been eaten by another dog and shat out again, which was then eaten by an eagle, who proceeded to vomit it into its chicks mouths, who then rain this pile of regurgitated shit onto a designated shitting straight > King
Hook=Morris>Curtis=Sumner
Accurate but Kerry can riff. Give him a tad of respect at least.

Thom = Jonny > Colin > Ed > Phil
>Deftones (00s lineup)
Cunningham > Carpenter > Cheng > Moreno > Delgado
>At the Drive-In (00s lineup)
Rodriguez-Lopez > Bixler-Zavala > Ward > Hinojos > Hajjar
Earl > Tyler > Frank Ocean > Syd > Domo > Hodgy
You can't compare them, all great.
Curtis had great vocals and lyrics, Morris is fucking great, human metronome. Hooks baselines are really memorable, as are Sumner riffs.
Curtis=Sumner=Morris=Hook
thank you
all 4 of them were equally important that’s why they were an amazing band
Hook > Morris > Sumner > Curtis
I'm sorry. I love Joy Division, especially their early punk stuff, but Ian was holding them back. Closer sounds like a mess because of him. You can tell the band wanted to make dance music and he wanted to keep making dark dreary post-punk.
Closer is better than Unknown Pleasures and half of New Orders discography
McGeoch > Budgie > Siouxsie > Severin
I'm talking about their most famous lineup. If we're talking about the classic lineup, it goes like this.
Morris = McKay > Severin > Siouxsie
accurate but Mike and Andy are pretty underrated
Didn't this band have a million different members from other famous bands?
Yeah, but none of them were really permanent and most of them were really early on. Billy Idol played guitar on one demo, Sid Vicious played drums at one show, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols filled in on one album, Robert Smith of The Cure played on two albums and supported them on tour anytime they needed a guitarist, one of the dudes from Specimen played guitar, John McGeoch from Magazine played guitar, etc.
The core members were always Siouxsie and Severin. They were childhood friends and the only two people who appeared on every album. Budgie joined as the drummer on their third album, and he and Siouxsie eventually got married. He appeared on Kaleidoscope and every Banshees album after.
Since Kaleidoscope, Siouxsie, Severin, and Budgie never changed. They went through guitarists like nobody's business. Siouxsie was notoriously difficult to work with and extremely demanding of her guitarists. They never stuck around for more than two or three albums.
Gavin > Steven > Richard > Colin
Can you give me some Siouxsie recs? I've only listened to the Scream, join hands and juju (preferably one with Robert Smith on it)
Drake > Nick
Alex > Matt > Nick >>>>> Jamie
Redpilled and based. Curtis was a bit of a boat anchor. Their drummer was the best, though.
The Scream is great. Robert Smith played on Hyaena and Nocturne, which is a live album. Hyaena is kind of boring, but Dazzle is a great song on that record. Maybe my favorite song from them.

You need to hear Juju, and then Tinderbox.
I misread the part where you said that you've already heard Juju.
Check out Tinderbox. It came later in their career and it sounds like Juju's older sister.

You know what? I can appreciate that switch up. when I practised drums I would always practice early Arctic Monkeys songs as they had cool little hip-hop beats to them.
